Usually, we don't opt for RV Parks when traveling, however, the strong winds at AGM made us reconsider. The park, albeit small, was spotless. The community center was in pristine condition, thanks to the excellent site managers and leaseholders. We appreciated the tranquility, cleanliness, superb laundry facilities, heated pool, and friendly neighbor on our left. On the downside, the cell signal was weak, as most of the park operates on a service for leaseholders, which sometimes made us feel like we were intruding. The community is closely bonded, and while many were welcoming, there was an unspoken tension. Essential amenities are roughly 10 miles away. We might consider staying again, but probably just for a night or two.

Tried to nab a spot two different times in 2020 -- late January and again in late February with no luck either time. Both times we ended up in the dry camp -- which is basically a gravel parking area -- for two nights. Very friendly folks here. On our first visit, a very charming "Welcome Wagon" lady stopped by our dry camp with all kinds of local info. On our second visit the folks across the street from the dry-camp invited us over to enjoy some fellowship, a fire and some adult beverages. Very nice! The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. The grounds were immaculate and even the dry-camp was well kept and was occupied by friendly and courteous folks. The park is located several miles off of I-8 on the southeast side of Yuma and is convenient to lots of eateries, shopping and the like. It is about 10 minutes to downtown and about 30 minutes to the border crossing in Los Algodones. Would definitely return and get a regular spot for an extended stay when back in the area.
