Our usual routine involves stopping at complimentary camping spots during our journeys, but this year, due to the sweltering heat and the addition of a young canine to our family, we opted for a place with electrical facilities. We spent a night at this wonderful campsite to divide our journey. The proprietors were extremely friendly and took great pride in maintaining the surroundings, which included a dog park, a playground, restrooms, a laundry area, and a conference room. The site also boasted a lovely pond, although we didn't engage in any fishing activities.

We were between dry camping trips and wanted a place to do laundry, refill, dump and recharge. This RV Park was perfect for that. The laundry room had three washers and three dryers. I was in and out of there in under two hours. Nice people that own this place too! Personable, let us pick the site we wanted and quick to check us in. We did the 1 mile hike around the Veteran's Park about 10 minutes away then stopped at Aldi's and Walmart to restock for our next dry camping excursion!

We only stayed one night. Took a few calls to get someone on phone but staff was very friendly and helpful. Sit was very level only had to level front of fifth wheel. Actually very quiet park. Didn’t use the facilities so can’t comment on showers or bathrooms. Had 3 bars of 5G on AT&T. WiFi was ok when we first got here but slowed down later in evening when everyone started using it. Full hook up sites

Close to interstate, we’ll marked and easy to enter/exit. Friendly and helpful staff. Level parking. Park was clean and WiFi was the best we’ve ever had. We’d highly recommend this place and will stay again next trip!

Stopped on our way from KY to CO. The campground was super clean with lots of shady, full h/u sites. The sites were a little close, but not unreasonable. Bathrooms and showers were clean and bright. There is a small playground for the kids and a pond with a couple of Canada Geese and their fledglings. Close to anything you’d need. Did not notice any road noise, despite proximity to a main road. I’d definitely staay again.

Made a reservation the office was very responsive and helpful. I was running late and called the office again, and again super friendly and helpful. We stayed near the rear of the campground our picnic table was in need of replacement but we weren’t using it anyway so it didn’t matter. My son played on the playground that was directly behind our site and had fun. We felt safe and didn’t notice any noise even though we were right off the interstate. Our spot was slightly off level but just enough for water drainage. Some campgrounds are destination and some are stopovers. This is an excellent stopover camp, I would definitely stay here again.

Not a bad park but not a great one either. The area were we camped seemed run down. Not bad for an overnight but a little on the expensive side.

Stayed 9/20/21: Same problems as Rand_S noted - we tried calling three times on our way and left messages but no call back. Was told by the staff a story that just didn't jive, not the least of which that the "gal who supposed to call back hadn't been in the office" yet - and it was 5:00pm when we checked in. But the most off-putting was their large, hand-painted sign at entry "Friends of NRA". I don't care about people's convictions, just not the welcoming "Hello" we've come to know in our travels. Probably worth staying in the Walmart parking lot a mile away. Clean, sites relatively close together, and lots of very large rigs. No particular amenities. Bathrooms decent. Pretty little pond and nice cabins for those not traveling in RV. Just unnerving. Too bad there Campendium doesn't rate hospitality.

Office staff were super nice and it was easy to make a reservation. Super laid back atmosphere. It's a convenient location, close to Walmart, Tractor Supply, fast food if that's your thing. Wasn't noisy or crowded at all when we were there. We only had people next to us one night. Seems like most people just stop in for a night or two then move on. Would stay here again!

The office was not very responsive when I tried to make a reservation. I had to call a couple times as they did not answer a message as they said they would. The office is open 7 am – 7 pm. After that it is self check in and report in the morning. Credit cards accepted. They only have 50 amp so a dogbone (or pigtail as she called it) is required. Otherwise it is full hookups at every site. The site was very level and I didn’t even have to unhook (just a couple Anderson levelers to accommodate for my hitch height). No real amenities but it is reasonably close to St. Louis (77 miles) so is a nice stopover on the way. The sites are close but since availability is good you can pick a place with some separation. Only PBS on antenna. Cell coverage is fair but reasonable data speeds. Wifi didn't work for me.

About 50 miles outside busy St. Louis right off of I64. Easy access to gravel level pull thru sites. Most sites are 50 amps, however the owner can provide a pigtail if needed. Sewage available, however the water was secured to my site. Park is clean and well kept. Spacious clean restrooms with hot showers.

Good for an overnight. 40 foot motor home + toad we didn’t need to unhook. Lots of diesel fuel and take out food nearby. Decent WiFi full hook ups.

I wouldn’t consider this a “destination” campground for extended stays or vacation, but it is perfect for jumping off the interstate and having a quiet, restful stop. 50a full hookup pull throughs, WIFI, laundry, large fenced dog park, friendly staff. And everything is clean.

Easy stopover for one night. Most sights are pull thru. Easy in/out. Gravel sites. Very nice dog park. Good Japanese restaurant across the street. Walmart and Tractor Supply close by. Safe and quiet area.

We drove in from the middle of Kansas en route south to Tennessee — and came in after hours after a long day. Called ahead and they kindly gave us late check in instructions and also allowed us to just do drop box pay since We left before the office opened In the morning. That’s trust! They also had a 50 amp adapter for us since we only have a 30 amp power plug. We loved the dog park on the property with several friendly pups for our girl to play with after a long day cooped up in the car. Also loved several restaurants within walking distance with takeout options during COVID—and the walk ability was nice since we did not unhitch for an overnight stop. Sushi across the street was great! Easy in, easy out — and easy in / out at the Starbucks down the street before a long drive the next day! All sites except a few were pull through and level — we did not have to unhitch. Seems most people there were stopping over for a night or two as well.

This park is very easy to access from I-64 yet far enough away to be nice and quiet. It's a good size park with numerous pull-through sites, and can easily accommodate big rigs. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The park grounds are very clean and sites are well-maintained. We only stayed one night as we were passing through, but would definitely be good with staying here for several days to explore the local area. www.ourepicfieldtrip.com
