Goyders Line Memorial Campground

2 areas either side of Willochra Creek, near Melrose. The northern side is more secluded. Good for an overnight stay but not much longer. Traffic noise not an issue when reviewed May 2018. AccessThis site is accessable by caravans in good weather. Getting thereJust off Horrocks Hwy 3.

An unusual site, being located inside a volcano crater. The pine tree covered crater rim provides good wind protection. A range of mainly exotic trees provide ample shade and, together with short green grass, a park-like atmosphere. Bird life is limited.

A spacious reserve backed by the steep granite slopes of Mount Korong (364m). The small quiet picnic area (1 table) is level, grassed over granite with thin shade from a couple of large Yellow Gum and surrounded by wattle scrub. Rated 4.

A pleasant, lushly forested site on a level spur half way up to the Mt Cole plateau by the headwaters of Hill Creek. Well shaded by tall Stringybark and Mountain Ash. Most facilities are new. The parking areas are constrained and limited. Features a large hut and level, grassed clearing.
