Silent Creek Campground

2580, Paling Yards
New South Wales, Australia

Grassy river flat camping, can be very wet after rain or the creek can run dry after a long hot stretch.
This site is quite popular spot with 4WD clubs as there are a few good trails nearby. A short walk along the creek leads to Abercrombie River where there are some nice swimming holes and also a decent chance of catching a trout (with a licence and in the season of course). Plenty of wildlife, birds, frogs, echidnas, and emus occasionally. Follow the creek to get to the larger Abercrombie River where there are deeper swimming holes.
This campsite is in Abercrombie River National Park Swimming, canoeing, fishing for trout; just some of the fun available at the three waterways running through Abercrombie River National Park are many. More Information...
