Our stay in this location was during the start of November, amidst our journey through the redwoods. Its placement is ideal for visiting nearby points of interest, such as the Avenue of the Giants. Given it was the quiet season, the campsite wasn't crowded. The environment is stunning, with towering trees all around. It's adjacent to a main road, so there's some noise from the traffic, but it's not too disruptive. The drive-through spot we occupied had ample space for our 25-foot trailer and vehicle. Wi-fi was available at a cost, but the signal was weak due to the trees. There was also no mobile network coverage. However, we were there to appreciate the outdoors, so it wasn't a major issue. The proprietor and employees were all very welcoming. Danielle and Theresa were extremely supportive during the booking and check-in process, while Cameron and James were very cooperative when we required assistance with our trailer. We would advise skipping the fish and chips at The Pub, though; we spent over $30 for a meal that seemed like it was pre-packaged. Instead, consider driving 20 minutes north to Garberville, a small town with grocery stores and a few eateries. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to return to this place.

Lovely setting in the Redwoods offering very little sunshine, so bring warm clothes. Office store and pub were a nice touch but the men’s washroom was incredibly dirty and water was tepid, at best. The washroom doors, inside and out, must have been white once upon a distant time but were now grey and covered in a layer of slime.

Not sure what made our site a prime site and therefore so expensive. It was definitely not what I would consider a resort unless you count the kids playground and pool. Really not a lot of ammenities that would be considered a "resort". Location: Very close to Hwy 101 so quite a bit of road noise. Staff: Not a good start to our stay, check in time is 2 PM, we arrived at 2:15 and the office was closed for 15-20 minutes for "staff handover" or something silly. 4 people visible inside the office / store but no one available to check us in. Why would they schedule that and leave us waiting in the parking lot? If another RV had arrived during that time there would have been a parking nightmare. Site: Totally wooded environment, Redwood setting with lots of the beautiful trees, 48 was a fairly private site but all dirt, sewar hookup was at the back of the site and slightly elevated so dumping our tanks required the use of our macerator. Laundry room was closed due to Covid?? Really? This is the first time in months we've encountered this at any RV park, even other parks in California. I think it was just an excuse. Understand this is California so taxes are high, but in my mind this park was way over priced for what was provided. AT&T was worthless, Verizon only slightly better.

Like the other reviewer said, the sites all get a lot of through-traffic. It’s very dusty (I wish they would have paved at least the vehicle paths) because when another RV arrives nearby or drives past your spot, you inhale a lot of dust. My kids had black boogers for days afterwards. With that all said, the redwoods provide amazing shade and the 80° August temperatures were extremely bearable here. The fire pit is awesome, the picnic tables are solid and most importantly for us, there is large playground for both toddlers and big kids! The pub had standard pub food (nothing special) and amazing wine. The WiFi has a charge though. It was something like $5 for 1GB and higher charges for more data. We didn’t use the pool, but saw that the other kids were really enjoying it. Overall, this is a wonderful place for a family vacation and I wish we’d stayed longer. I docked some “noise” stars because some other campers didn’t observe the noise ordinance (10pm) and we heard them laughing and enjoying their campfires loudly after our toddlers bedtime. I don’t know if the staff went to speak to them because we turned on our ac to drown out the sounds!
