The amenities are well-maintained, and the campgrounds are located adjacent to the brook. There's a faint odor of cattle dung. I would have preferred the trees to be closer for hammock hanging, yet this location served its purpose.

Arrived here on a Thursday night. We normally stay at state parks but were in a pinch and needed a place with pretty short notice. The location is great. Very easy access to Amish country, Hershey and Gettysburg. The campground was pretty much what we expected. Thursday night was fairly quiet although the place was pretty full. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Then Friday happened. It’s summer so lots of families with lots of kids which would not be horrible if even a small percentage of the grownups actually supervised them. We came home from sightseeing around 7 pm and the campground roads were clogged with kids on bikes and adults socializing in the middle of the street barely even trying to move out of the way while we were driving to our site. And they really do pack in as many campers as possible. Very crowded with extremely limited space between you and your neighbor. By Friday evening the bathrooms had been heavily trafficked and it’s Saturday now and they’re still looking beat up. When we returned this evening, there was an Amish family cruising through with goods for sale. Very cool! Oh and there is the rollercoaster adjacent to the campground (and our site). Dutch Wonderland is only open 10-6 so it could be worse! Overall great location but if you are looking for peace and quiet and camp sites with privacy, this isn’t it! If you like the whole socializing with everyone on the “block” it’s definitely a good fit for you!
