Newer park, easy access and great base camp to explore. Could be hot in summer, there is not much shade, but all other parks around don't have shade either. The spacing is pretty good compare to other "parking lot set up" parks in this area. All is very clean and kept up and leveled. I was in a back-in spot, and plenty of room to get in and maneuver around (even for still newbie). The shower are the best I have experienced: each bathroom (ROOM) incl. shower, sink, toilet. Staff is super friendly, seem's it's family owned and it shows. I have not used the laundry, but it looks great, also laundry/restrooms are 24/7 open. Noise: the train tracks are right there. But it did not bother me too much, they don't blow the horn and gone within 5 min :) HWY 6 is not far and you clearly hear traffic noise, again, didn't bother me to much. If noise is your main concern, best best is dispersed camping, away from the large streets. Oh the Wifi is to die for, best I had on entire trip!

What a great place! Sites are wide with plenty of room. Ours was close to the river. We stopped over for one night on our travels. I booked same day online and they called to let us know where our after hours envelope would be - super easy and friendly! But one of the best parts about this place? The bathrooms/showers. OMG. Just like a home shower - the bathroom/shower is it's own room. Huge - so no wet floor when you get out of the shower. Plenty of hot water. If you need a good long shower this is the place!! As other reviews and their website mentions, several trains come through at a very slow roll so you can book a train watching site. It was great to see them come through and not disruptive as they don't blow their horns. Their internet was blazing fast too as we work full-time while traveling and I used their network and it was great. My ATT phone had plenty of bars too though. We would stay here again!

Who knew! Hidden Gem. The biggest lots I have experienced so far. Everything about the place sparkled. 6 well maintained and spacious bathrooms. Cotten trees are growing nicely. Everyone pleasant and helpful. No breed restrictions on well behaved dogs. They have a.waterpark for kids to cool off in too. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Fantastic stay - the staff was amazing, warm, and friendly; the views were beautiful, and the layout felt spacious. Highly recommend this as a small town park - walking distance to a cute downtown - and day driving distance from San Rafael Swell and SLC!

We stayed in this park for 6 nights in July. I was expecting a lot of heat but it wasn't bad. It even rained a few times and it was comfortable at night. The park is well laid out, clean, and scenic with the Price River running along the park. Our site was level and all the utilities worked as expected. It was quiet and the full-timers kept their sites orderly. We wouldn't mind staying here for a slightly longer term some time. While not "close" we were close enough to Arches NP to make an afternoon trip. We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Motorhome. There are train tracks that run close to the park but it didn't bother us too much.

Found this little slice of heaven as a break between SLC and Moab. What a delight 👍 Wide level sites, terrific landscaping, best tables and fire rings yet. Very friendly check in and escort to campsite. Charming historic town… Right out of the 1940s 👏 1 of the best RV Parks in 3 years of full timing! Bravo ❤️👍💥

This is a very nice, new, park, and people are working hard to make it even better. The sites are spacious with landscaping in between which adds to privacy. Level pads with gravel walkways. Shade trees and a nice area along the Price river for dog walking. Hosts are very helpful and pleasant. I especially loved the toilet-cum-shower arrangements which are very well appointed and heated or air conditioned, depending on the season. We stayed here en route and returned on our way back. Same great experience both ways.

Beautiful RV Park!! Friendly service! Escorted to our Site# 201 which backed up to the Price River. Our nightly rate was based on the buy 3 get one night free offer. Site was super level for us. Great space between neighbors on our side of the park. There is a picnic table. However, we took our chairs down to the river bank each evening. So tranquil and relaxing! Laundry room is nice and all machines were in working order. We did not use the restrooms but took a peek in and they are all clean and look new. Beautiful mountain scenery as well. AT&T, T-Mobile Cell Service were excellent. No issues with their WiFI. So many cable channels! If there was one Con, it was that the dog park/run area was muddy. Looks like they are watering the area to maybe get more grass to grow. However, there are plenty of other grassy spots with Dog Waste Stations and bags to walk your dog. Street traffic noise can be heard. We do have a white noise machine and it did not interrupt our sleep. Enjoyed our relaxing stay here! Highly recommend!

Beautiful gem of a campground. We called last minute on our from Moab to Idaho. The staff was very friendly. The views are beautiful. Surrounded by mountains and Price River Access for fishing or tubing. They have very nice clean amenities. A splash pad for the kids. Large gravel sites with picnic tables and fire rings. Excellent WiFi. Be sure to bring all the groceries you may need as there is not a store close. But the town is really charming.

Great stay. Got spot not far from the river. The spots were plenty big for our 22’ van and had a picnic table and fire ring. Enough extra space for me to workout the next morning. Bathrooms and showers were clean and large. Each shower had its own “room” with a toilet, chair, sink and mirror. There was a splash pad if you have kids and plenty of areas for dog walking including a dog poop bag station. We needed to stay longer than check out to finish the workday and it was only $3/extra hour including electric. Oh they also had great wifi and cable tv hookup for those that need it. Would definitely stay here again.

We stopped for two nights ended up staying three nights. This is a really nice park. Large sites, individual shower rooms. Nice laundry. The town of Helper is a delight and an easy walk. The staff is as nice as can be. We’ve been full-time RVers for 15 years and this may be the nicest park we’ve ever stayed in. Certainly the best park WiFi we’ve ever had. No dings, all stars!🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

First time in Helper UT, this place had it all for us! Very spacious sites with full hookups....including cable tv. I work from home so my need for good internet is huge. My first day I had 50mb download speeds all day. My last two nights did dip down but compared to any other camping ground I’ve been in, this was by far the best I’ve ever come across. The river has a great area for a fire or a nice walk. There’s a playground area for kids. The bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve ever come across including the showers! Very well upkeep across the entire park. They take pride in this place and so do all the employees. I’ll be back for sure!

We stayed for one night after purchasing our brand new Wolf Pup trailer from a nearby dealership. The welcome from the owners was super friendly and warm. Ron was wonderful when showing us to our site - my husband had never backed in a trailer before and he stayed and helped until we were in. He also gave us lots of helpful advice regarding the freezing conditions that night. The bathrooms were amazingly clean (each is an individual room consisting of shower, toilet and sink rather than the shared bathroom arrangement you often get at campsites) and the showers were great with on-demand hot water. We would 100% stay again if visiting this area in the future.

We overnighted here on our way to Ridgway, CO but wish we had more time. This is a great little RV park. It is very well maintained, has spacious sites, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We didn't have a chance to spend any time in Helper, but it looked so cool driving through. Lots of old buildings and businesses that look like a blast from the past. Connectivity is great here on all carriers. The only thing I can ding this place for is road noise from the highway and train noise from the nearby line and yard. But, I like trains, so I can't complain too much. Otherwise, this is a fantastic little RV park and I look forward to the opportunity to come back and explore the area more.

What a gem! Helper is a cute little old town, and this new RV park is great! The park and the splash pad were a huge hit with my kids. Staff was very friendly! The active train runs through right by the park, really neat! A bit windy one night, and the interstate traffic could be heard but not too bad. We went to Price to visit the Prehistoric museum which was great for the kids! If you have more time, there is a great place to hike about 45mins away.

What a great RV Park! We stayed here for (4) nights in late August. Plenty of room for bigger rigs, power, water and sewer easy to access. The sites are clean and wide enough you have privacy between sites. The office, laundry and bathrooms were spotless. Hosts are friendly and very helpful. (Thanks Ray!) Each site has a nice table and fire ring. There was a small splash pad next to the office. A small but nice pet run. We are already planning a trip back to Helper!

We enjoyed this campground. Extremely clean and spacious. Surrounded by beautiful views. Staff very friendly. It has all the amenities, including cable tv, full hookups, general store, propane, camp supplies and free air for tire inflation. Close to Price, with its many restaurants and grocery stores. And adorable downtown Helper is just up the street with cute shops, galleries and restaurants. Easy highway access, too. Really good stopover option between SLC and Moab!

Hands down the best cared for campground we have ever been to. Perfectly manicured and the facilities are super, super clean. The employees are very helpful. Bathrooms are the nicest I’ve seen at any campground and the laundry facilities are phenomenal. We stayed overnight here and would have happily stayed for many more days. Kudos to the people who keep this place up, they truly care about this resort. Will definitely stay again and would recommend 10/10.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on the way from SLC to Moab as it's almost perfectly halfway between the two. Sites are very large and well spaced, FHU with a ton of cable channels, and the amenities are clean and well maintained. We walked down the road to the small town of Helper which had a couple of small restaurants and coffee shops, and a large number of art galleries. Very quaint. Awesome stop, highly recommend. Also, it's an accredited dark sky location, and on a clear night the skies are amazing.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I've stayed at! You can tell that this is a labor of love by the folks who own and operate it, and everyone who visits will know what I mean after one stay. The campground is new and still not a lot of people know about it yet. It's laid out in such a way that there is space for every type of camper. There are over a hundred RV sites-many of them pull throughs and with full hook ups. When you arrive, a staff member escorts you to your site, so there's no getting lost. He stayed to make sure we had all we needed, and then left us alone to get set up. The ground was level, well manicured and the picnic table was in excellent condition. As the trees grow larger, the shade will be very nice. If you're not pulling a trailer or driving an RV, there are also a few tent sites throughout the park. You'll also notice some little cabins that you can rent too. Each space has ample parking and plenty of room between you an your neighbor. I didn't feel crowded at all. Campground bathrooms can either make or break a place-these ones MAKE it! There are several gender neutral bathrooms-each with their own private shower. They were cleaner than my shower at home! Above each door just outside the room is a light that shines red or green, so no wondering if it's vacant or not. There is a large group pavilion that guests can use, first come, first served. It's got plenty of tables and a large outdoor sink for cleaning your dishes. Onsite, there is also a nice playground and a fun splash pad for the kids. Not far from that is a small dog run for your dogs to run free. The main store has a few convenience items as well as a nice laundry area. My interactions with the staff were all very positive. People were friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. The entire vibe of the campground was inviting; so much so that our large group booked reservations for several sites at the end of the month. Who knew that little Helper, Utah would become our vacation destination?! But we can't wait to come back.

Wanted to go on a last minute 4th of July camping trip. We came across Castle Gate RV park and we are so glad we did! Full hookups(power, sewer, water). Clean, nice bathrooms-each with its own shower. It looked like all spots would be easy access. This opened April 2019 so it’s basically new. Friendly staff. We were guided to our spot by a kind staff member. There is a little splash pad, park and small dog park for your pups to be off leash. There is a river on one side of the RV park that’s pretty cool, we were told it’s decent fishing as well. Overall really impressed with our stay, glad we found this place.

Castle Gate gave us a place to stay safe for a month during the COVID 19. They cut their rates to accommodate us or anyone that was tired/stranded from all the surrounding State/National Parks that were quickly closing. To our delight we found that this was such a hidden gem. Everyday, It was hard to decide if we should go mountain biking, jeeping, a motorcycle ride or just walk thru the beautiful historic town of Helper. Our month stay went way too fast and we look forward to returning. Thank you to all the staff, especially Ray & Evelyn who gave us some great advise & have became our fast friends.
