The scenic beauty of Pt. Reyes is truly breathtaking, yet it's puzzling why the employees are often in a bad mood, the internet connection is weak, and the streets are covered in dust. It certainly doesn't need to be like this! In my opinion, Dillon Beach would be a better choice.

Making a reservation was easy by phone. Check in was easy. The sites are level dirt. Due to recent rains, the entire camp was filled with potholes filled with mud. There is a dump station for those that don’t get full hookups. The sites are nicely spaced and lots of trees and areas for the kid to run around. There is a dog run, restrooms and laundry. Every site has a grill and picnic table. There is no cable and no antenna reception. AT&T is a barely functional 2 bars of 5G. The camp WiFi is worse. Point Reyes National Seashore is right next door. This is the only reason to stay here as there is nothing else nearby.

Had a group out there. we had a great time. Real quiet at night. Grounds are clean. Would defiantly recommend

Close to Point Reyes if you are interested in hiking. Dogs are very limited as there are few beaches and trails available. At this time, many restaurants are closed during the week so limited Monday- Wednesday. The campground was level, spacing was ok. Tent areas and RV areas. Felt smaller than what it was. The only negative is that there was a lot of machinery throughout the day. 2 times a day the water down the roads with a truck that has really loud, squeaky brakes, starting at 8:00 AM. We will come back but will be more aware of what is open in the area.

When we arrived campground was muddy and flooded due to heavy rain. Mud, puddles and water pumps everywhere. Our first site (204) was spacious, in a meadow, sunny and level. Elec/water. Sheep came through one day, chomping on the grass! Bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water though not much pressure in free shower. We extended our stay so had to move to J2, which was shaded, lined up in a row with others, with trees between many sites. Full hook up. Misc: spotty Verizon. They spray water to keep the road dust down, and fields were mowed. Laundry had many machines broken, tho we had no wait. We camp with a 28 ft travel trailer.

Visited during a local rainstorm and flood, they were gracious enough to upgrade us to a FHU spot. We explored the area a little, unfortunately everything was muddy or flooded. Will have to come back to fully Enjoy the area.

we stayed in a full hook up spot, the full hook ups are a bit tighter together than those with just water and electric - would probably stay in water/electric only next time - and dump if needed. Great location to visit Tomales and Point Reyes National Sea Shore. Great hiking just a short drive away, and excellent cheese, markets and restaurants very close (Olema and Point Reyes Station). WiFi not useful and cell connection poor for AT&T and T Mobile - 1-2 bars each, and when it got crowded on the weekend, though 1-2 bars - cell service was degraded

Roomy sites. Not privacy down low but lots of beautiful tall trees. We liked Bay 104 where out or curbside was just grass and the tent camping field which was nearly empty. We were mid week and the camp was maybe half full. Bathrooms and showers were adequate. Plenty of hot water but shower heads could be better. Decent pricing for Cali CG's. ~30 mins to Bolinas for surfing. The guy who checked me in was friendly and gave me my choice of sites. After check in he said "welcome home" which I thought was cool.

Location of the campground was perfect. The drive to it was scenic and beautiful. Lots of hiking trails (some that are dog friendly), close to a few eateries and not far from Point Reyes. Expect to drive at least 10 mins or more though to get to some of these locations. We were glad to have booked our stay here as this was our first time in this area of California and it's lovely. The green hills, ocean, cows, mountains... all there! We were only booked to stay for 3 days but extended our stay for another 2 so we could explore more. Be careful when you book as not all spots have full hookups. First three days we were on a site that didn't have sewer hose, we then moved to a site with full hookups. As for the campground itself, it's not terrible. When it rains, roads get a bit muddy (which is to be expected), a good size dog run compared to others I've seen, I didn't use the restrooms so can't comment on that. The laundry though - don't even bother, do it somewhere else. Most of the washing and dryers were out of order. Only 1 working dryer. People are lined up to use it and we ended up waiting an hour to get our clothes in the dryer which didn't even work that well. Cost $2 for 18 minutes. Other than that, it was a great stay!

We would give 5 stars for location and 2 stars for overall maintenance of campground. The good: beautiful meadow, sheep grazing early morning, very quiet, close to town, lots of grass and trees, allowed fires in Firepit. The not so good: restrooms and showers dated and not so clean (they cleaned often for Covid but cobwebs and grim in showers), urinal in mens never flushed, for some reason the maintenance guys were blowing leaves, mowing and trimming and hedging for 5-6 hours a day, only 2 out of 8 washers in working condition, only 1 dryer out of 10 working. Camp store was pitiful: nothing in it except dusty, expired food packages. It looked abandoned!

Very handy to Point Reyes National Seashore and Tomales Bay State Park. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. My Verizon mifi was just about useless and the park’s wifi pretty slow. Didn’t use the laundry, restrooms or showers. My Good Sam membership saved me about $5/ night. The woman who checked me told me that usually in the winter the park is under a couple feet of water. They had drainage ditches between loops with pumps going during the day.

Nice campground that was quiet and clean. Our site had water and electricity. Trailer parking was on mostly level dirt/grass. I did have to use my levelers to get my trailer level side to side a bit. We did not use the showers, but understood them to be clean. I saw the staff clean them routinely. Trash bins were cleaned daily too. Staff would take a water truck to water down the gravel roads twice a day to keep the dust down. The campground had wifi but of course as people woke up the wifi bogged down. Given the campground is a bit remote, there wasn't great cell service. Although we would routinely have 2 bars (both ATT & Verizon) internet would be zero to spotty. Campground had 70+ tent sites and was popular. Campground is next to Olema Creek but with the drought there wasn't any water. Playground for kids and dog run available too. Dump station for use on your way out. You could arrange for a honey bucket service to come to your trailer to empty your tanks but you needed to give at least 24 hours notice. $25 charge as of this review. If you like exploring, this is a good launchpad to visit Point Reyes (lighthouse was still closed) and the seashore. This is a good place if you want to have a group of people, RV or tents, get together.

Great location. Sites nicely spaced. Decent dog run. Not very nice bathrooms and for those of us not fully contained that was disappointing. Staff borderline rude and acting like they’d rather being doing anything else. So if we’re ever in the area again and nothing else is available we’d stay here again.

This is a nice campground near Point Reyes National Seashore. Centrally located to most of the areas hiking and other attractions. We tent camped here several years ago and enjoyed the property back then too. We had a spot with trees and privacy. There are several spots like this, but it looked like half or more of the spots were packed in pretty tight, or didn't have the advantage of trees giving a sense of privacy. T-Mobile signal was terrible. Occasionally I'd get 1 bar LTE, but usually nothing. Out of the 4 of us, only one was able to get any Internet access with their wifi, but that was after 10p. Don't count on it if you need Internet access and definitely don't count on T-Mobile. If you want good beer, great food and comfortable atmosphere, I recommend taking the short walk from the park to Due West tavern. It is a little pricy, but not out-of-line for the quality of food in this area.

This is a very large campground which seemed to have large groups staying together. By late afternoon, the bathrooms and showers needed cleaning. The spaces were large and private and it was quiet at night. Excellent location and there were restaurants within walking distance. We were never able to connect to the internet.

This is a great jumping off point for the national seashore, point Reyes Station, or day trips to San Francisco or Napa Valley. The campground itself is a little rundown, but they had all the amenities you needed and it did the job just fine.

We only booked our stay here on the weekend because of a group rally gathering of 37 tiny tear drop Tab trailers. This a busy and large family campground. Busy because its so close to everything in the Bay Area/ North Bay area... We camped Friday to Monday. The place fills up on Friday and clears our Sunday morning. So I would suggest a weekday stay for a more peaceful time. If you look at the map of this place its huge with many loops and 2 huge fields for tents only. Numerous sites are electric/water only. One central dump station for all black tank disposal. Numerous of the RV sites are quite uneven and have little foliage for privacy. There's a big variety of sites so ask a lot of questions when you make a reservation. There is one section of permanent residents near the office... The Wifi was just ok for our tablets as there are a lot of people pulling off of it and little Verizon cell coverage. The quirky/hippy town of Point Reyes Station is just a 10 minute drive to the north for supplies. $56 nightly for 2 people, 2 pets and 1 vehicle. Everything else will cost an extra $5 here and there.

Even the drive to the campground is worth the experience. Leaving the town of San Marin on Point Reyes/Petaluma Road you are entering an area that is completely undeveloped. Rolling hills, in spring they are vibrant green, and these are interspersed with wooded hillsides having a mix of tall cedar and pine and live oak and coastal greenery. The campground is simple and sweet. Sites are spacious, no frills, but good, flat, gravel sites most with electric and water and some with full hook ups. The campground is not huge, but there are plenty of trees and there are miles of open space land outside of the borders of the campground so you feel a great sense of spaciousness. There is a sweet creek running behind many sites. It rained while we were there, and some of the sites were in puddles. Being winter, which is just about the only time it rains in CA, the hosts had been careful to park any visitors in sites that did not have water issues. There are nice restaurants and a great little market a few miles away. On site there is a laundry, showers and a Post Office. I imagine in the summer the campground is quite crowded as there are two fields with lots of tent sites. But there would still be decent space between RV camp sites even if the park were full at capacity with RV spots. When we were there it was only at most a quarter full with RV's, so plenty of room and we saw a couple good size motorhome rigs fitting nicely into some of the spots. Some of the sites would be too short for anything over 30 feet, so ask before you reserve. All visitors at the time we visited had nice rigs and were definitely recreational visitors. Samuel P. Taylor state park is nearby and is stunning, as are multiple trails in the Point Reyes National Seashore. Between Memorial Day and Labor day, these trails are well used and parking runs out fast, so be aware of that and be ready to use the trails early in the morning if you want to get a parking spot. If you love to feel surrounded by nature, but still like hook ups and easy in/easy out, this place is for you. We got good wifi on our T-Mobile phone hot spots - enough to watch videos and do work.

The rain we encountered was not Olema Campground’s fault - the mud was. Weak wifi and no trash receptacle rounded out our stay. Our dogs loved the dog run which was nearly the only non-muddy area in the park.

If it’s raining this is not where you want to be unless you’re into mud :) That said, the sites away from the one full hook up loop in front are the sunny nice spots, fairly level and quiet with water and 30amp. The bathrooms are all meh pretty clean not the best. During the day the ppl that work here do loops in a pick up truck all day long, which was a little disruptive as we were working from the site. The location is great with easy access to the National Sea shore beaches and town has everything you might need.
