High Wycombe
An attractive green camp by the upper Goulburn River (a rushing creek). Well shaded by tall Mountain Ash and wattles, surrounded by steep slopes forested with Messmate. A couple of open, sunny sites. Some sites slope. Kookaburras, rosellas, finches common. Lyrebirds might be seen.
Tocumwal
On the bank of the Murray River. Large beach site with choice of camping along the beach or under trees. Tourist town, can be very busy in the summer months. A large site, camping and caravans, on the river first in best dressed.
Kosciuszko National Park
On the edge of the Snowy River, this large, reasonably level campground is suitable for small caravans or tents. There are only basic facilities here, but the views of the Snowy River make up for the lack of amenities. AccessThis site is accessable by caravans in good weather.
Campania
A basic free campground, suitable for big rigs. The camping area is right in town (behind the tennis courts/rest area). Taps are provided with town water, flushing toilets and a playground. This campground is right in town, but is pretty quiet most of the time.
Torbay
Basic camping on the Torbay Inlet, a short walk / boat trip to the ocean. If you have a 4wd (or don't mind a short walk), you can follow the track alongside the inlet through to the beach, which offers pretty good fishing. Some nice sized bream can be had in the estuary too.
Wingan River
A very quiet forested camp near a lovely beach. Situated in tall forest 500m from a small cove and behind a rocky, heath covered headland. Specific sites are reasonably separated by bush. Good shade from tall Silvertop Ash and Red bloodwood with a thin understory of melaleuca and scrub.
Wensleydale
A ridge top fenced paddock, very open (most sites without shade), gently sloping with bumpy tussock grass and some holes. A poor, scruffy camp. Potentially hot and dusty in summer. Dam water. There are caravan only sites and a grassed area for tent based camping.
Corringle
Located by the eastern mouth of the Snowy River (opposite Marlo) behind large sand dunes (which provide good wind protection). 24 Designated sites on level grassed sand (gravelled tracks) are well shaded by large Tea-tree and banksia.

Yadboro
A popular Bass fishing location and campground on the banks of the Clyde River. Pets allowed in the state forest area (not allowed in the national park adjacent). There is a long, steep (about 10km and rising 800m in altitude) walk up to the top of "The Castle".
Northhead
Basic Campground, right on the beach and the Moruya River mouth. Amazing spot for fishing, beach bumming or just spending a lazy day. Although it is near the airport (very infrequently used) this is a very quiet and peaceful spot. Showers and flushing toilets.
Gundaroo
Gundaroo Showground provides camping for caravans and motorhomes, as well as tents. Choose your own spot anywhere around the oval. There are hot showers, toilets and both Optus and Telstra mobile signals work here. AccessThis site is accessable by caravans in good weather.
Kowen
Suitable for large organised groups and set in Kowen Forest, Canberra`s largest commercial pine plantation.
Nyah
On the banks of the Murray River with shady or sunny sites suitable for caravans or motorhomes but no tents allowed. There is easy access to the river for kayaks or small boats via a dirt boat ramp (would be suitable for most tinnies). Sites are mostly grassy with large eucalypts for shade.

Kosciuszko National Park
Open, attractive, campground approximately 60km from Jindabyne. This is a good base for fishing, being at the junction of the Pinch and Snowy Rivers. You will require a fishing licence from Department of Primary Industries to fish here.

Taggerty
A pleasant old sawmill clearing (partially revegetated) sheltered in a forested valley near the bubbling Little River. There are groups of scattered sites, semi-secluded by bush and distance, designed mainly for car/tent camping, however small caravans and campervans will fit.
Termeil
Walk in (short distance) camping near Termeil Lake in Weroo National ParkThere is a short (about 100m) walk to the beach and some great fishing spots. Being a walk in only campground, it is usually fairly quiet.
An extended, open, level, well grassed (slashed) reserve along the Macalister River. Overlooked by the Licola Rd. Faces steep rocky, forested hills. Some shade provided by a few tall Gippsland Red Gums and Southern Blue Gums. Rated 3. 6/5AccessThis site is accessable by caravans in good weather.
Mitiamo
A pleasant quiet site in open woodland at the foot of the only protruding hill on a flat landscape. The trees and hills are welcome after driving miles over flat farmland. There are two designated, graveled sites (only 1 level) but with free access to the surrounding flats.
