Stayed at a tent site with our friend staying in RV site. Kids friendly and overall clean. Clean shower room is a plus. Relatively quiet

Very dirty campground with trash left in many firepits along with dozens (maybe 100s) of slushy cups disgarded throughout the facility. Staff is rude and non responsive. Pool has no lifeguards and staff monitoring that area spent much of their time texting. There seemed to be general discord in the entire staff likely caused by the poor management of the facility as a whole. There were absolutely no COVID precautions or cleaning performed as stated on their website.

We just got our first trailer and took it out for its inaugural run at this park. As first-timers, we couldn’t have picked anything better. The staff were knowledgeable; the sites were accessible and well-maintained; the other guests were so friendly and helpful (our neighbor even parked our rig for us after he saw us struggle for a while); and the facilities are some of the best, cleanest bathhouses we’ve ever seen. We also forgot several key things, but everything we needed was available for purchase at the ranger store. Can’t speak for any of the activities like pool or rec center, but we found it to be a lovely resort for our maiden voyage.

First off, the camp sites were great. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend amidst Virginia's Phase 1 reopening of COVID-19 precautions. The sites were very clean and there's enough room between them that it didn't feel like you were on top of one another. The staff did what they could in terms of activities, but were limited given state-mandated precautions (which we were fine with). We picked up several bring-back-to-your-site activities at the recreation center, which was appreciated. We also fished in the pond and played miniature golf. That said, so much of the value is lost given the water park is closed. Obviously, this is beyond the campground's control, but worth noting if considering camping here for the amenities while under COVID-19 precautions.
