Check-in was quick and easy at the office. We were then escorted to back-in site 36 with FHUs in the Southside of the campground for our two-week stay over 4th of July. Our daily rate reflects a weekly discount. The sites in this campground were smartly placed providing easy pull throughs or back-ins giving a sense of more room between sites on the back-ins. Once we were settled the camp host delivered firewood for $7 you get a healthy bundle as you cannot bring your own wood into the park. Our site had a view of the 4th hole on their well kept 9 hole golf course. There was no formal dog areas but there was plenty of room to take your dogs for a long walk. We also liked that management was not super strict on dogs as long as they were under control and leashed when not on your site. We got multiple OTA channels plus put up our satellite. We got decent AT&T and Verizon signals (2 to 3 bars each). There were WiFi transponders located throughout the campground. WiFi signal was above average for a park this size. Most of the sites in the south area along the golf course had some shade. The pull throughs in the main CG area did not have much shade. The laundry facility was closed due to CV-19, but there were several laundromats near the park. We were lucky to get into the south area as most of the sites were leased for the season. They had gone from 15 to 9 short term sites this season, and we can see why as this was a very nice and well run campground. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a blast golfing the Widwedge’s well kept Par 3 course. If you’re in the mood for pizza, recommend Tasty Pizza North. We placed Wildwedge in our top 5 of the best campgrounds we have stayed so far. We will definitely come back.
