A pleasant, small camping area on the nose of a ridge above the picnic area and willow lined Victoria River (small).
Set in open woodland of stunted gums over green mown grass and surrounded by rolling open farmland. Facilities (5 BBQs & tables, pit toilet) good. Magpies, carawongs, wrens and flies are common. Rated 3.7/5 Historic site of Victoria's first large hydro power supply, built in 1908 for Cassilis goldfield 20k to the south-east. The access road (4.5k) follows the route of the old water race and ends in a loop around the holding dam.
