As a solo traveling nurse, I've found that the long-term inhabitants of this place have been nothing but welcoming, considerate, and peaceful. The neighbors on either side of me have made my stay exceptionally comforting and inviting. They keep an eye on my mobile home when I'm on duty, ensuring its security. Their presence has given me a strong sense of safety during my time here.

First, the pros. Large sites and they gave us a choice of what was left(plenty). Nice grassy sites and the bathroom near us was really nice. However the WiFi was nonexistent. We had to call the office to get the code. We called the office and she said it was iffy and we should keep trying. No luck at all. Second, you need a code for the bathroom which they didn’t give us. After office hours when we needed to use it so we had to ask other campers for the code. I went at 7:15 a.m. and the closest bathroom was closed for cleaning. Who cleans a bathroom at 7:00 a.m.? Owner was asking where we heard about campground and said he was trying to compete with campground down the street. He failed in this campers opinion.

This campground, like many in Florida, are a mix of Park Models, Seasonal's, Contractors, Long Term & Temps. We chose this park due to its location for theme parks, centrally located between East & West Coasts of Florida and monthly rates. But beware of the rates as they seem to change at the whim of the owner with not much site improvements. Summer rates seem to be based upon 'resort' prices which this is not even close to. The Park Models are mostly in one section, a few mixed. There are Long Term campers that may have been here since the park was established. The streets are asphalt, sites are grass. There are 3 concrete block bath houses, two need upgrades, the third was newer. Showers were individual stalls. Lots of space available for picnic tables & shelters. The Clubhouse needs upgrade, no restrooms (only at the office), is locked & closed all the time - you have to get the key at the office - office closes at 8pm. The 2 shuffleboard courts are uncovered, all other games are checked out at the office & have to be set up. They try to have scheduled activities but is at the whim of regulars. Campground polices seem to not be enforced. Both paid & work-camp staff were very nice, friendly & attentive. Access is easy, pay attention to exit & entrance driveways off of SR-50. Florida Turnpike is easier on/off to the West. You can hear traffic & residential noise, but not too bothersome. The City of Winter Garden is just a delight, every Saturday is a Farmer's Market, the downtown is very bicycle & pedestrian friendly. Cell service on AT&T was good but the down-stream from the cell site to Internet was very temperamental. Verizon cell signal was worse.

We had a planned trip for Tennessee that got canceled on us last minute due to storm Ida and decided to do to Orlando to visit the universal parks. When we called state stop we got friendly assistance and was able to schedule booking for that night even though we arrived just past closing. Campground has many residential campers but it wasn’t too crowded and we were able to find a good spot. Sites have everything you need 30amp, 50amp, water, sewer, picnic table. Bathrooms were cleaned every morning at least. We stayed 5 nights and would go back.

This park is mainly residential with all grass lots. Friendly staff but really far from everything. Also, we could not get any uber/lyft service out here.
