Despite initial doubts due to previous feedback, we decided to make a reservation and it turned out to be a great decision. We needed accommodation while in town for UT graduation and to visit relatives. There aren't many camping sites in the immediate vicinity of Knoxville. However, this one was conveniently located close to the city center and other nearby places. The campsite is a bit aged and we could understand why it had received negative comments in the past, but it's clear that improvements are being made. I suggest securing a spot on Row A by the lake, as these are particularly pleasant level gravel lots. We'll certainly return!

Stayed here to move our son in to college. Was not pectins much but more run down than I expected. Think I will try downtown Knoxville parking deck next time.

The price per night I listed is with tax and without discount (reservation made online). To get discount (AAA, Good Sam, Veteran, etc.) you will need to call to book. Overall this was a very pleasant experience. I was able to get assistance (a spotter) for backing into my location due to a tree being nearby. You can tell this is an older campground but you can also see where efforts are being made to improve it. Wonderful lake view. I was originally concerned about what view I would have due to the online map showing tent camping between the RV area and lake. It appears that has been changed to general access area for people to use (walk dogs, go fishing, sun bathing, frisbee, etc.). Great area with lots of trees. The bathhouse, while a little dated, was well kept. The pool also looked to be maintained well. Only two very slight negatives. The 30A electrical plug was getting a little tired (a little loose) and the water connection was a bit low to the ground. I’ve already booked another stay here and I’m looking forward to it! As for the negative reviews I’ve read here I can only think they may have been wanting a resort.

Wow this was the worst campground I have ever entered. We were booked for 3 nights but left after the first. It is nothing at all like the description on the website and the pictures must have been from 10 plus years ago. The place was a dump, sites were not level at all. The hookups were sketchy. Our site had a deck attached to it that looked like it was ready to fall down. The post were clearly rotted and it looked like someone had backed into it as well. The fire pit had 2 foot tall grass growing out of it and looks like it hadn’t been used all summer. There was no picnic table on our site and just as well because the ones I did see looked nasty. Many of the campers there looked as though they had been there for a long time. This park may have been nice at one time but it really lacks in the upkeep now. I would not recommend this park to anyone.

Enjoyed our stay at Southlake, their monthly rates were competitive for the area, and we stayed for 4 months at site D11. ATT LTE was fast enough that my wife could teach VIPKid each morning, while we were streaming Netflix downstairs. No issues with T-Mobile cell service, even opted to use that to stream a few times.

I stayed at this park for a month in between a reservation at another. The park overall has many trees and my site was very shady. The site A2 that I was assigned to was a back in and extremely difficult due to a hill, the angle and being on a curve to back into. Once finally in the site was very unlevel and took quite a while to get leveled.

look at the website for this RV park, there is a reason there are only a few pictures of this RV park. most here are long term and very old, there are no spots that are even close to being level, mine the front was setting on the ground and the back i had to block up and extent you can see if you look close to the pictures that i will enclose that there is about a 1.5 foot drop from front to back and about 1-2 foot side to side,, also you can see on the picture that the short timers are so close together its ridiculous, my neighbors were just sitting on their porch and i could hear them they were so close., the wi-fi will go out every 1-2 hrs. if it rains the cable and wi-fi will go out for the night. the owner took me back to my spot. i laughed at him cause i didn't think i could make it, he said he has 45 FOOTERS IN AND OUT OF HERE EVERYDAY, I LAUGHED AT HIM. I HAVE A 38FT 5TH WHEEL. IT TOOK ME 4 TRY TO GET IT BACKED IN.. 2FT ON ONE SIDE AND 1.5 FT ON THE OTHER SIDE. YOU ONLY HAVE A PATH NOT A RD TO DRIVE ON. some of the rv's had to dig the front of their hitch down to level their rig out. the lake you are on is nick named stinky lake cause the factories around of their dumping into it, people fish in it but don't eat the fish and signs there say no swimming. there were 2 5th wheels that came while i was there, one was 42 ft, the other was 44ft. they couldn't fit onto the spot that they were assigned. talked to one, the wife said she talked to the owner and he said lake front view and plenty of room to back in. well he couldn't. in the rules you cant get a refund, i highly recommend go someplace else, totally outdated, owner don't care, you have to reserve the pool then only for 2 hrs and no chairs or table or anything,
