We have stayed in this park several times and find it easy to get into/out of, the staff is very friendly and the park is super clean. It's centrally located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and close to several Caverns, historic Battlefields and a short drive to Skyline Drive (the northern extension of the Blue Ridge Parkway). This time we were closer to the community room and community fire-pit-swing (nice way to meet your neighbors). This is a great location for the BBQs on holiday weekends, there are movies in the community room and there are five generous wooden swings arranged around a central fire pit. The downside of this part of the park, however, is that you are much closer to I81 so you get a lot of highway noise, day and night. Also, sites P10, P11 and P12 face the community room building which has a HUGE light on the roof that shines in your rig no matter how dark your curtains. But, did I mention that great fire pit swing set for the adults?

We enjoyed this little campground. After booking it last minute, we were able to get their last spot for our popup camper. Our popup is sensitive and needs a level site, their lots are somewhat level. Not a lot of trees and shade to separate us from our neighbors, the lots are very close together too. The campground is right next to I-81, so you will hear the traffic. The bathhouse is mostly clean; however, it wasn’t cleaned everyday. We liked the fact they are a small campground, each lot had its own fire ring with grill, and each lot had a clean wood bench. There is a small gift shop with a couple necessities like ice ($2) and wood ($5). Cell coverage was okay, it was more spotty when we left the campground. They have wifi, but it’s not good, especially when the campground is full. This place is right down the street from Shenandoah Caverns which is worth a visit, Route 11 Chips factory, and a small covered bridge which was fun to check out. We would go back.

Nice clean campground. Clean bath houses. Not any shade trees except for a few sites on the front section. Very friendly, activities fir families. Quiet. Close to hear highway sounds, but I felt it was like white noise for sleeping. Big dog run. WiFi was iffy. I used my Coolpad Sprint Hotspot to work online and stream conferences with no problems.

Basic campground for overnight. Much road noise from I-81 which is close and visible to campground. Sites are gravel with no shade and off level, not what I want to deal with after a long day of driving. Hookups worked well. ATT 3 bars. I don’t really like this place but would stay again when passing by because not much else in area, and is convenient off the highway with fuel readily available. Also have easy access to propane onsite but I did not need any.

We only stayed for a night, but had a nice night's sleep here. Although right by the interstate, it wasnt nearly as noisy as I would have expected.
