Small family owned campground on the banks of the Allegany River. On the New York - Pennsylvania border. Nestled among grove of 100 year old white pine trees. River is popular area for fishing and kayaking/ canoeing. Small hiking trails along the river on the 45 acre campground. Overall this was a nice campground. The river sites are a bit small but don’t feel cramped when you’re sitting by the fire relaxing. Although the river is directly behind the site, it is down a 10’ steep bank and difficult to access. All of the campers were friendly and it was very quiet and relaxing. The river is mud bottom and not very swimmable with the shallow area lined with vegetation. In the center it’s about 3-5’ deep and despite seeing plenty of fish, none were hungry for what we offered.

Campground under new management and they are working to make it even better. Try to get sites along the river, very nice. They have a mix of full hookup and no hook up sites. Staff on site but office is not manned full time. Campground is clean and well maintained.
