Packed campground with lots of huge campers. Cars parked everywhere. Noisy with highway traffic and also guests on the weekend. Charged extra for “waterfront” but huge berm preventing seeing the water. Kids running around and riding bikes haphazardly. Many with no supervision. Pools not heated. Closed roads Saturday, 10/29 from 5:30-8 for trick or treating and we arrived that day. They called us at 3 pm to say we couldn’t check in between 5:30 and 8. Fortunately we arrived before 5. Beware the quoted price doesn’t include extra resort fees.

The park is very nice with numerous amenities. Kids really enjoyed the lazy river, miniature golf, and beach volleyball. Not much shade in the campsites. Food was inexpensive. I enjoyed walking and sitting along the lake in the mornings. The noise from the interstate was a small detraction. Bathrooms could have used a little more attention. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ida destroyed the floating obstacle course which was the attraction my son was most eager to try. The pools were a little cool during the day for my blood since the overnight lows were in the upper 50s. Didnt seem to bother the kids. Stayed in campsite 82 which had a nice grass area on the passenger (door/awning) side of our RV. Concrete parking with patio area, picnic table and fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, water, sewer, and cable TV hookups. The free WiFi throughout the park was adequate for checking emails, surfing the web, etc. (1.5 Mbps down, 0.5 Mbps up). Full signal strength from AT&T (tower nearby). There is an Exxon gas station and Sonic just outside the entrance. This is a place I will take the kids 1-2 per year since its just over an hour from our house and we had a lot of fun. We camped at Reunion Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed overnight on our way to Texas. It is right off the highway so very convenient. They have a late check in time of 4pm and we got here 2 hours before check-in, but our site was available. A person in a golf cart drives you to the site. We were at the end of the row so had no one next to us. It felt very spacious and we had a lovely view of the lake. People were playing on the pickle ball courts and beach vollyball nearby. The site is level and plenty large enough for our 39 foot 5th wheel and truck. We didn't stay long enough to check out any of their amenities, but it looks like there are a lot of fun things to do here.

We have visited this park many times over the past 3 yrs. it is under new management (Sun Resort) and they have updated the park which is a plus. The negative is the bathrooms/laundry. They need to focus some spending and deep cleaning in those areas. Shower curtains are barely hanging on, doors are rotting. A good high pressure washing and replacing items that need replacement would give this a 5 star.

We enjoyed our weekend stay here because the nearby state park was full. There is cement everywhere here! They just finished their peak season, so many of the amenities were closed. The site was very level and it had enough room to park our tow car. The OTA signal showed only 3 channels, but they do have complementary cable. Also, they also had free WiFi. AT&T was great with 80 down and 20 upload speeds! The back row we were on was very quiet (away from I-12). We would stay here again if the state park was full on the weekend.

We originally planned to stay here for longer but trip was cut short due to hurricane evacuation. We walked the entire park and it would be great for a family or group that enjoys The water. The pools, lazy river and lake activities looked great! They have several bars and a place to eat onsite as well. There are additional costs for some items so be prepared for that. Staff was friendly and helpful. The workout room was great and had a lake view as well. Will return in the future!

We thought the price was high given that all park activities are closed due to COVID.

We stayed during the Covid 19 scare and everything was closed for Memorial Day Weekend. It was hot, no trees, and expensive just to look at pools and water activities no one could use. Would probably be a fun family vacation if everything was open. This is “Glamping” at its finest.
