I checked with the casino to verify we could stay. They asked me to fill out a form but said we could stay with no problems as long as we followed a few simple rules, like clean up after our pets and don't leave trash etc. It is a convenient place to stop on our travels through the northern California Redwoods. They have wifi available without a password. We were able to find a level spot. There is some noise issues from the highway and the hotel guests but over all not a bad place to park for a night. We did not have AT&T service but were able to do wifi calling through their internet.

Staff was really helpful, no hassles. It was close to redwoods. Right off of 101 and free!! And they gave me Wi-Fi as well!!

Little traffic noise but great free parking. You have to check in in the Casino to let them know you are staying overnight. Super nice and friendly people. They gave us WiFi password but it didn’t work out in the parking lot too well. Still it was a safe place to stay and was free. Would totally recommend it.

This is literally just the parking lot for the Holiday Inn Express connected to the Redwood Casino. As of early Nov 2020, the hotel is operating, but the restaurant and casino is still shut down due to COVID-19. When I called the hotel front desk to verify they were still allowing RVs to stay overnight, the lady confirmed that it is still just fine. She said that since they no longer have on-site security, there is no need to check-in with them upon arrival. There was a little bit of highway noise from US-101 on the west side of the hotel. If you are strategic about it, you can probably distance yourself from the highway without getting too close to the EV charging stations in the southeast corner of the parking lot. It was mostly quiet at night aside from the highway. We had a loud car full of people roll up next to our trailer to apparently walk their dog and stretch their legs before continuing on their journey, but otherwise, nothing. For free, you can't go wrong. The gas station just to the north up the street (Pem-Mey Fuel Mart) is automated and open 24/7 it seemed. Good for late arrivals into the area.
