Very Nice Campground.. Staff is very Friendly & Helpful … Well maintained… except the sites require a lot of leveling of your RV / Camper Very Hilly Campsites .. Unless you get and pay the extra for a Premium Site …most sites have hardly any space except the Premium ones …would I come back .. yes, but only at a premium site but I’m not willing to pay that price

Good location to Lexington and of course the Natural Bridge & Caverns among other activities. Easy access off of I-81. Roanoke is not too far either. Campground is well developed but a bit hilly. Owners are constructing new sites carving out the hill to do so. (We were there in August.) Some existing sites have concrete pads and wood deck patio and the new construction will be the same. Restrooms, showers are well maintained. Laundry is fine and the pool is great. Usual activities for kids including a game room. Owners have chickens & goats to visit. Good store, well stocked. The only hiking trail is a bit interrupted by the new construction - basically a one-way. Staff picks up your bagged trash daily in the morning if you leave it by your camper - not overnight tho.

We travel full time and this is my new favorite campground. Tree shaded and beautiful setting. Well staffed and good staff. Bathrooms were clean. We had high winds which knocked down a lot of branches. The staff was already cleaning roads of limbs before the storm was finished. We could hear chainsaw going. A lot of overnighters because of the easy interstate access. Highly recommend this park.

This is a nice campground right off of RT. 81. We stayed one night in a pull through site. The site was level and the utilities were all good. We will stay here again.

Although this campground is pretty, it is very hilly and hard to navigate in my 40 ft motorhome. If they were to do a better job at grading the roads and turns it would be much better. I felt like I was going to tip, not a good feeling. Cell signal is poor at best - Sprint MiFi 1.7Mbps down 0.2 up Verizon cell phone 3Mbps down 2Mbps up - added cell booster got Sprint MiFi 8Mbps down 3Mbps up, Verizon cell phone 3Mbps down 7 Mbps up. They do have cable TV that was very good. My site did not have a view of the southern sky due to trees so no satellite TV. Water was 65 psi and sewer was good - was able to screw in my hose for a tight fit. It is easy off the highway but too tight for me to return. Site was a pull through but not level. 6 inches low on my driver's side. If I was staying more days and disconnecting, I would have put the coach on blocks to level better. The pool is very nice not too large but not tiny either. There is an expansion going on and new cement pad sites that are much easier to get to than the site I was given.

Decent size site, warm and very clean bathrooms! Easy on/off the highway. A lot of hiking fairly close by. WiFi only worked near the office building.

This was a stopover for us. Easy on/off 81. Was concerned about road noise however with the wooded campground and sites there was none! Staff was pleasant. No issues with our site.

Running at this KOA was hilly. You can run 2 miles from KOA to Safari Park up the hill on the way and back. Many local trails but very hilly. Very easy access off of I81. Sites were a decent size and not too uneven. We didn't use any of the facilities. Decent AT&T coverage. Not sure of the number of bars.

This campground fit our needs perfectly. We were using this as an overnight stop on our way to Florida. We booked a pull through site and the site was long enough that we didn’t need to unhook. Campground overview: This campground was right off interstate 81 with easy on and off along with a gas station right out front. The roads were stone and no pavement in sight. The owners seem to be really nice and also seem to be investing time and money into the campground and it shows. The campground roads were wide enough and there was little to no campground traffic. The campground looked to be expanding or remodeling but all in a positive way. There are new cabins going, sites were being added or updated, the pool was nice and clean and the rest rooms were just remodeled and clean. Getting checked in: The check in process was easy and keep in mind this is during the Covid-19 Pandemic. You entered the campground almost directly from the interstate. The entrance was basically right across the street from the southbound off ramp. Then as you enter your will hit a dirt/stone road follow this even past some of the cabins. You will find the office right next to the pool. There was a gentleman there waiting and he escorted us to our site. Above I mentioned the roads were wide enough but you will notice there isn’t much wiggle room. Our site was near the back of the campground and the only difficult piece was a person staying in a cabin behind us had parked on the edge of the road. I had to make sure not to hit them with the tail swing. It was close but we made it. Campsite: Our campsite was unique as the campground has small hills. They designed this pretty well given the terrain. We had our site then a set of stairs leading down to the fire ring and picnic table. Some sites even had a deck built to compensate for the hilly terrain. We had full hookups on this site. The water pressure was good and the power pedestal was correctly set. The sewer hookup was interesting. It seemed to be a very small connection like 1 ½ or maybe 2 inch connection. I didn’t try connecting nor did I have something that small. I have never ran into this before. If someone has more details on this please let me know and I will update this review. Checkout: Check out was easy. Simply leave. I believe there was a trash pickup schedule be we didn’t need to worry about it. Overall: This seems to be perfect for both overnight stops and weekend a getaway. Very family friendly. It kind of reminds me of a state park feel.
