Upon arrival with our 2 dogs we had to email them our dogs vaccination records which I somewhat get but then we had to initial every rule and most rules were just for sake of having a rule. Campground is NOT on lake but maybe 6 sites. Location is convenient, but this is where they lost us and will NOT get our return. We had to leave unexpectedly 1 night early due to my brother in law had been in hospital for a month with covid and is fighting hard for his life and we just got word we could visit him. So we got text while out in lake kayaking so we paddled back quickly. Went in to speak with manager at 2pm. He didn’t want to hear anything- just a flat NO. We are living in crazy inhumane times - how about a little compassion? So do yourself a favor and book Battle Run - much nicer campground- but kicker there is NO pets. They hide the pets part at bottom of website.

After reading the other (not great) reviews we were still going to give it a try due to the proximity of the marina. Requested to stay 6/29, 6/30, and 7/1 (leaving 7/2). Was told that the "holiday rates" start on 7/1 and there is a 3 night minimum stay. I said "great! We're staying 3 nights." Nope. 3 nights - STARTING ON 7/1. We would have had to add two more nights to our stay to be able to book. I even was willing to pay the holiday rate for the three nights that we wanted to stay (which were a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday BTW). I understand having holiday rates, and understand minimums. Just be aware they will not be flexible (was I really asking them to be flexible? Still up in the air...). We'll be staying elsewhere on the Lake.

This is a HUGE campground. The sites on the water are lovely. They are VERY open and not wooded, but you wake up to the most beautiful sunrises, and you go to sleep to the most gorgeous sunsets. We had our boat with us, and were told that there are tie ups. There are not, there are trees to tie to and a somewhat rocky shore to beach on, so boaters beware. However, this lake is amazing to explore! Some of the most amazing rock structures and fun nooks and crannies. The campground is large, so it helps to have a vehicle. Laundry and bathroom facilities are clean and nice. I would highly recommend. It's a perfect place to boat, kayak and explore.

We were in section 4 and came to overnight with friends. While the lake and mountains are beautiful, we found the campground to be overly crowded, lots of kids, a mix of tent camping in with RVs, and dirty sites with light gravel, no grass and dirt. There were no visible signs of a clean up crew. The access roads are steep requiring 4wd.
