Very Nice Park Right Off The Blueridge Parkway, The Owner Carleen Is Extremely Nice And Helpful. They Have Both Pull-thru and back-in, Pull-thru Was Full Hookup For Us. Have stayed three times here and have never had an issue with power or water. Back-ins have shade and she also has a tent area. Pets are welcome, we will be back.

This campground is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Mabry Mill. Beautiful location with nice fall temps. We drove from east, the last 20 miles is a steep trip up the mountains. The entry off highway 58 is fairly steep, we didn’t stop at the office, but just called. The caretaker told us our campsite and we just drove in. She came later to settle up. She mentioned they had had some bear activity and to be careful about trash.

We wanted to get satellite, so we asked for the top site. There is no wifi, but since we were staying more than a week they gave us a night at no cost.

We had a nice week here in early June 2020. Very few other people were here (perhaps due to pandemic), which was very nice for peace & quiet. There was a bathhouse and laundry easily accessible, as well as a dump station on-site. Our site and almost all others are FHU for $35/night, but we got the 7th day free for staying a full week.

There are a few sites up at the top that are fully in the sun with no shade, but get better cell signal than our shaded site down the small hill. We had 1 bar of ATT and 0 T-Mobile at our site, but it was dramatically stronger up there. The little center of Meadows of Dan is just 1 minute away by the blue ridge parkway entrance, with a couple little markets, gas, a restaurant, & a candy factory. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
