Sign in was quick and easy and pleasant. Campsite was shaded as requested. Could have been a little more level as I didn't have levelers, but it was manageable. Utilities were fine, wifi was weak at the site, but stronger as you approached the office. Typical. Cell service was excellent (Straight Talk) sites were comfortably spaced with tables and pits. Park was neat and clean with playground and pool. Great experience

The good - facilities are fine. Hookups work, reservations and check in are easy. Sites are easy to get in and out of, but a little close together without any privacy - just a grass field.

The good - facilities are fine. Hookups work, reservations and check in are easy. Sites are easy to get in and out of, but a little close together without any privacy - just a grass field. Now why I wouldn't book again... Location is tucked back 15 minutes from the 1, which by itself isn't bad but it's down some somewhat tight roads that we definitely brushed some trees on. We have a 41' fifth wheel and the roads to the camp made me nervous. It isn't a convenient location to much. There are a few trails nearby and the town of Bath, but it's over an hour to the more interesting places like Boothbay, Portland, Camden, etc... The grounds are messy.. like Joe Dirt type messy. There's random broken down cars and tools scattered everywhere. A garage open to many sites that looks rough - they are fixing up the broken cars in there I think. They have a restaurant on site, which is fine, but the hood vent for the kitchen is LOUD and right next to most of the FHU sites. The seasonal campers are really messy - looks more like a homeless camp on the side of the freeway. The people were pretty backwoods dueling banjoey. Nothing wrong with that I suppose, but we don't particularly like the feeling like it's a day at Nascar when I'm at a campground. To me, this is the difference between a trailer park and an RV campground. This place is most definitely a trailer park. If you want a relaxing, nature inspired experience, look elsewhere. If you want to get ready for the lawnmower races, these are your people.
