idéal pour un sejour au calme. accueil tres sympathique.sanitaires très propres. nous avons initié nos petits enfants aux camping, ils sont rentrés conquis.

Nicely tucked away in a rural part of the area but close enough for access to the coast and towns. Very typical of the area without the noise associated with swimming pools, bars and evening entertainment found on other sites. The noisiest it gets is when the locals get together for a game of boules ... Very limited facilities with only the most basic of items available at the reception. But this is the attraction that caused us to return and buy a mobile home there (there are only 11). Cycling, walking, bird watching ... its all there and unspoilt!

What a fabulous site! We have been three times and will certainly go again. The site is beautifully maintained and very pretty. Set just outside the village of St Sornin, it is in the sunflower area. The pitches are enormous. Everything is very clean and orderly. There is a park for children but no swimming pool. Quite frankly, a pool would take away the tranquil charm of the site. The reception area also offers a small shop with basic necessities. In addition, fast food is made to order which is plentiful, realistically priced and perfectly cooked. A bakers van calls in the morning and although a lookout for it needs to be posted, it is regular and has again a basic choice on offer. A fabulous site that knocks many of the higher star sites right off the board!

"Camping Le Valerick" St. Sornin (Charente Maritime) is a small family run site. It is a clean well run site in a lovely peaceful setting but with lots to do within driving distance. A gem of a site to be visited over and over again.

Since 1996 we have visited Le Valerick during ten summer, and we will be there againg in 2011. We love the site, the area and most of all the owners who run the place.
