We stayed here 7/24/22 - 7/27/22. Small quiet park, some sites under the trees, some in an open field and a few with a water view. Our site was partially shaded with trees and bushes providing privacy. Central bath house which was clean. No water electric sites, but had a dump station and potable water fill for campers. No play ground but an open fields which some kids used to play baseball. Ellsworth is close by with grocery stores and laundromats. Close to Acadia Park but far from the crowds.

An all-time favorite place! Kayaking, hiking, fishing, and spectacular sunsets over Frenchman's Bay. We collected mussels on the shore for dinner, picked apples all over the park, and bought fresh lobsters nearby several times. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Great signal on Verizon. Our site wasn't very trailer friendly and it was hard to level up but worth the trouble for the incredible views. The showers were okay...a bit dingey looking but warm water and plenty to choose from. We heard the lobster boats early in the morning but it wasn't bothersome. Really nice staff at this park!

2nd time we have camped here, 1st in a tent, this time in a small trailer. No hookups on any site. Sites are a bit close together for our taste, but as most campers are playing hard by day and sleeping hard by night, the quiet was astounding. Bathhouses are like many Maine state parks - individual unisex showers (free) and mens/ladies rooms. Composting outhouses are placed liberally throughout the campground. The state park adjacent to the campground has a good boat launch and dock; our kayaks launched easily and we could store them securely at the park if we wished. A nice in-between location for Acadia, Bar Harbor, and the Schoodic area The whole park looks as though it is being ignored by the state parks administration. One shower and 3 bathroom stalls were out of order during our stay, and were still OOO when we stopped by a week later. I suspect lack of personnel due to COVID is the cause.

We had a nice stay here. It’s convenient to area attractions. It was a little difficult maneuvering our 27 foot 5th wheel with low hanging branches and a tight fit backing in to our site. Nice being so close to the water for walking the dogs. The noise of our neighbors definitely carried. We enjoyed our time here and would stay again.

Beautiful camping. Surrounded by trees and a short walk to a rocky beach. There’s a tree house for the kids as well as a small playground. Rangers were super nice and helpful. The kids enjoyed the Jr Ranger program too. About a 30 minute drive to Acadia. Crappy cell service.

Lamoine SP is located about 45 minutes east of Acadia NP right on Frenchman’s Bay. We came after a few days of rain, so the site was pretty muddy but we have a view of the water through the trees, and were close to the bathrooms. The bathhouse has several individual locked shower stalls and a dishwashing station which was great. The staff is super friendly. They have firewood for $5 a bundle and ice for $2.50. There is a playground and boat launch and about 1/2 mile down the road is beautiful Lamoine Beach which is great for kids. You are close to the main section of Acadia, as well as the lesser known but gorgeous Schoodic Peninsula section as well. There are several sites directly on the water- sites 60, 58, 59 look amazing. Some sites are in shade, others open and on grass. Many sites were a bit un-level, but the setting is fantastic.
