We were able to secure a booking swiftly. However, the price seemed steep for what was offered- $85 for a single night. The place was filled with numerous trailers. We had difficulty maneuvering our 29-foot camper into our assigned spot #62. The ground was uneven. It's one of the scarce camping sites in the vicinity that remains operational during this season.

We were originally booked at Blackhawk (just down the road, owned by same company) but they had a problem with reservation system and could not accommodate us. They sent us to Lakeland. The staff was kind and helpful in accommodating us. Two nights in the back of the park in section that was full of weekenders with kids. Busy. Noisy. But everyone was kind and respectful of each other. Moved to the front of the park (for full hookups) for the last 3 days. Staff had to come trim some branches to allow our slides to fully extend. (They were happy to do so. ) Very nice pool. Fun people. Tons of kids. Sites are very close together. If you want seclusion- this is not the place to be. If you want to have fun and make some new friends, then you’ll probably enjoy this place.

I have never experienced such a loud campground. So many annual campers with golf carts blaring music, plus loud stereos at campsites playing well past 10pm, and a racetrack across the street!! No concept of quiet hours. And don’t even get me started on the bright lights strung across permanent decks of residents. Looks like the Brooklyn Bridge across from nightly rental spots. For party animals only! Only reason we’re not leaving after 1 night is it’s free as part of complimentary “membership” to Thousand Trails with purchase of our RV. So many unwritten restrictions we couldn’t possibly use even a fraction of the 250 nights included.
