Lake Lonsdale Boat Ramp Campground

3381, Lake Lonsdale
Victoria, Australia

Rather dry bush camping (no facilities) in open, level woodland near the lake.
Reasonable shade from scattered Yellow Gums and River Red Gums on grass covered sand with an understory of wattles. Few sites overlook the lake which features white sandy beaches, reeds, plentiful bird life (including swans) and views across the water to the Grampians. Toilets located at Sandbar (Lake Lonsdale Rd) and the boat ramp at the western end, no camping at either. Note NO CAMPING AT THE BOAT RAMP AT WESTERN END OF LAKE - CAMPING ON NORTHERN EDGE OF LAKE, EXCEPT "SANDBAR\"

Access
This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there
Situated between Stawell and the northern Grampians. Access from Stawell: North-west 6k on the Western Hwy [A8], left (west) 7.5k on the Stawell-Sandbar-Ledcourt Rd.
