We have camped here a few time and actually love it here. However this past camping stay, the old fuddy duddy from the Ohios horseman association had a hissy fit because campers with larger rigs block the horse ties. The side we were on have never had horses on this side. They now say that you have to pull your rig in a diagonal position so the ties aren't blocked. This is Wayne national forest and the forestry department are catering to the Horse association. We have every right to camp here this is National property, I have also posted a video of the signs and the lines. This is injustice and the people have the right to know.

Free dispersed camping at the Kinderhook Trailhead is authorized for up to 14 days. There are two distinct walk-in camping areas and a large adjacent parking area that may accommodate any size RV or horse trailer. A vault toilet, trash receptacles, and potable water are located on-site. The Kinderhook Trailhead provides direct access to an extensive array trails that may be used for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 69.7 Mbps download speed and 19.5 Mbps upload speed. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 2.99 Mbps download speed and 0.21 Mbps upload speed. Stayed: 9/6/2020 - FREE Site: Left fire pit facing toilet This campground is the equestrian Kinderhook Trailhead within Wayne National Forest. I didn't know what to expect for a dispersed campground at a trailhead. We pulled in and there was one couple setup at a designated site (picnic table and fire pit). As we drove around the trailhead, we found a second designated site. The forest website says dispersed camping is allowed and fires are allowed with a 10 foot clearance and a ring of rocks. So when we pulled up and saw picnic tables and fire pits provided, I was a little confused. I'd assume you'd also be allowed to create your own site, if the two designated sites are taken. There's not a ton of room, but I'd say another 5 sites could setup and be somewhat spread out. It is an open area, so there wouldn't be physical privacy, although the tall trees provide shade. With it being an equestrian trail, there were a lot of horses and trailers throughout the day. Before sunset, everyone cleared out and only campers remained. One vault toilet and perfect AT&T and Sprint cell service. #DareToEverywhere
