I understand that KOA campgrounds are generally more expensive, but they are usually consistently “just fine” campgrounds. This one was the most we’ve ever spent per night with very little in terms of return on investment. •The Wibit obstacle course in the lagoon was woefully under inflated. •The restaurant had a “pancake buffet” for $10 per person that consisted of microwaved pancakes and pre-packaged cereals. •The bathhouse near our site was beyond gross. Of the 6 units available for use: one had a toilet that worked but a shower that didn’t. Another had a toilet that wouldn’t flush but the showe worked. The others were littered with insect carcasses and the water pressure was next-to-non-existent. I considered myself lucky if I got a semi-steady trickle of water. •Having paddle boards and kayaks available for use was nice but the paddle boards were under inflated and the life jackets were moldy. •WiFi worked well, which was good because we had zero T-Mobile signal. •The staff that we encountered were all extremely nice and friendly, and the impression I got was that they were doing the best with what they had to work with. It wasn’t entirely their fault for the state of disrepair. For the money I can only assume the owners are raking in, they should be able to afford upgrades and repairs.

The location is Beautiful, but that is where our positives stopped. The nightly rate is rather high compared to the other area RV sites of comparable stature. They advertise WI-FI which not available. You can’t get cell reception in most areas either. They have plenty of staff that we saw all around, but the campground is not well maintained. The bath houses are just disgusting. Inches of piled up dead bugs in the windows and doorways. Tons of live bugs in the doorways as well. The inside of the bath houses have pooled filthy water along with dead bugs and what I hope is just dirt. There is litter and pet waste all over the grounds. Definitely check your shoes before going into your camper/cabin. In the cabins, you have to washer your own towels throughout the week. They say it is because of Covid, but we haven’t had this experience at other camp grounds we have stayed at while with family who don’t have RVs. The boat rental was a mess! The website says your reservation with be canceled with no refund if you are more than an hour late picking up your boat. It says nothing about what happens when you have to wait more than an hour after your time for someone to check a boat out to you. 5 people standing in the marina store, 1 guy working the boat rental Also, if you have kids that need life jackets, you really need to bring your own. We were used to marinas providing decent life jackets when renting a boat. The life jackets at this marina are the old school U shaped over the head jackets that are covered in black mildew. They are really more of just in case life jackets and not something you would want your kid to wear all day on a boat.

Cell service here is bad. At&T is ok but any others, just flat out no signal or at best 1 bar if you hold your left punky up and wiggle it while trying to make a call. And without decent cell coverage, the WiFi is a must and they just don’t have a good WiFi. Overloaded and terrible signal. The pits. Otherwise, not a bad place. Overpriced for what you get.

Over 2 years ago the place was not so good. But they have and are still making massive improvements. I’m thinking they are working towards going from a basic koa to a koa resort. Not quite at the resort stage yet but they are still doing improvements. They are definitely up to the what I would classify at the koa holiday stage. Lots of activities (when Covid allows) and a very nice rv park. If you saw it over 10+ years ago. You need to visit it again. Massive changes. Last time I saw it was 10+ years ago. Back then it was a koa but really didn’t deserve the name. But now, WOW. massive improvements. Only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is…. Automated phone system not working, hard to get in contact with anyone. Map given is old and outdated. Improvements are being accomplished faster than they can update the map I guess. Cell coverage is spotty to none at best. Prices are 40 for the cheep sites and varies up to 120 for the best sites.

Nice, beautiful park on the lake. Level, concrete sites. Full of amenities, including a marina and restaurant. Great spot for a weekend or to stay a few days to recharge.

We stayed here with our theee teen boys and really enjoyed it. They had a basketball goal, volleyball net and heated pool. The kids playground was well kept and boat rentals are easy to access. All sites are paved and level and the patio furniture was new and nice. We will definately be coming back to this one.

It was great having a campsite on the lake, but we probably wouldn't go back here again. This campground was VERY busy with lots of traffic and it was crowded. Music was loud from the marina. If you're into lake life, loud music and neighbors, and business while camping - this place is for you.
