The people who manage this location are constantly making improvements or maintaining cleanliness. They have a sense of pride in their park! It's a half-hour journey to the city center, and securing a parking spot can be a hassle, so I usually use Uber during daylight hours for $20, but the fare increases to $30-40 each way on weekend nights. It's a 15-minute drive to the supermarket and Walmart. The park is accessible via a 0.8-mile unpaved road, which is in fairly good condition. All in all, it's a fantastic park that I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Great family run campsite. Clean washrooms and laundry facilities. Nice valley with a creek at the rear of property for a beautiful walk. An oasis in a normally flat Texan plain. (Premium sites) Terry runs a tight ship and is well organized, always helpful with tourist ideas a directions. We dry camped thus the cheaper rate, I believe the serviced sites are comparable with other privately run camps.

Expensive for being packed like fish in cans. So close I could hear my neighbor slam cabinets all night. Wifi was non existent and only 1 verizon bar. Restrooms were clean and check in was easy.

Rachel was awesome at check in! She is the daughter of the owners Teri and Mark, who were also wonderful! Our back in spot in the valley was spacious, level and backed up to the woods, so it was really private. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the 50 amp hookup would not activate my EMS (Electrical Management System). Mark came to check it out and thought it must be my EMS. It wasn't, as it worked perfectly fine on the 30 amp pedestal. I had to hook up directly to the 50 amp pedestal without the benefit of the EMS. Not a deal breaker, but something I do not care to do. Any questions were answered immediately so that is always nice! Great ice cream to buy at the camp office as well! About 7 miles to a good grocery store, and about 14 miles to downtown San Antonio. RV Park supplied Wifi was surpassingly good, as I just don't expect good campground Wifi. Verizon was spotty, mostly 2 bars, fluctuating between 1 and 3 bars at times. Streaming was fine, so we didn't have to live like animals this week! lol.

Teri manages the campground, and does a really good job of it! She came out and met us as we were arriving, gave us all the information we needed for a day trip to San Antonio, and allowed us to take a spot that was actually two spots since they were both empty. She also texted us in the middle of the day to let us know about some events happening that night in San Antonio so we didn't drive back and find out about them later when it was too late, which was nice. I believe they also had a communal campfire that night when we got back, but were too tired to join. RV park is in the middle of a rural area, but a short drive to San Antonio! If we are ever in the area again, it will be an easy choice on where to stay.

Lucked out and picked another good one! Thanks to Teri and Mark for taking us in and making us feel so comfortable. This is a well run and maintained park. Lots of room to spread out and plenty of space for a hike or to get the pooch tuckered out. Take it slow coming in on the dirt and gravel entry road and be met at the office with all the info you'll need for your stay. Big, easy to get into sites. Centrally located services. The park Wifi works great and saved us a couple of times. Cell service is fine for phone but data speed is subpar at best. We use Verizon with Tmobile backup for our hotspot and both were a struggle at times. Lots of OTA tv channels to keep you entertained during weather events. The park is within an easy drive to downtown San Antonio. We spent a Sunday at the Riverwalk and The Alamo. More restaurants and shops than you can think of. Its a fun place to play tourist. There are plenty of services within minutes from the park. Everybody wants to know where the Walmart is.....just a couple exits up on I-35. They have a Saturday evening campfire down in the lower creek level. Always nice to meet some of your neighbors you share a campground with. We were originally parked in the creek area but had to relocate due to storms in the area. Thanks again to the owners for being so accommodating and setting us up in a beautiful spot.

Stayed two days to do some birding and to visit San Antonio. It's right on the edge of the suburbs and is more rural than city, although some tracts are creeping closer. It was fun to watch the scissortail flycatchers, meadowlarks and cardinals. The WiFi was very good (about 3Mbs) and cell coverage was, too. The staff was polite and helpful. Not a bad thing to say about this place.

Even with somewhat rainy winter weather, our location was terrific right next to the group fire pit for our area. Check-in was EZ and safe. The wifi was great! We could stream successfully. It's a really good location to access the Missions and Riverwalk Area. Pro tip - If you're driving a motorhome into the downtown Riverwalk Area, park in the convention center parking lot.

I would definitely stay here again. Teri in the office is very friendly and accommodating. The areas are kept very nice and exceptionally clean. Bathrooms and laundry facilities were excellent and the cleanest I’ve been in! Would recommend staying here. A little on the expensive side but worth it. Also only about 20 minutes from the heart of the city. Excellent WiFi and cell service

We really loved the area. We camped down in the valley, and it had a real campground feel with greenery. None of that gravel nonsense. Only drawback was usually there was no wi fi.
