Write a reviewWe selected this KOA because it was near our house, marking the maiden voyage of our new RV. The staff was friendly and promptly showed us to our site. We encountered a problem with our propane tank just as the office was about to close, but they promptly came to inspect our RV. When they couldn't definitively diagnose the problem, they suggested a local mobile RV technician. The campground was peaceful. My only gripe, which isn't really aimed at KOA, is that the roads leading to and from the campground aren't very RV-friendly. They're narrow, winding, and in desperate need of some care. We'll probably return to this campground to gain more experience with our RV.

The campsite is surrounded by a forest-like environment and is well-maintained, offering ample room between each RV. All of the utilities functioned smoothly and were in great condition. The asphalt road and compact gravel were a pleasant surprise, as they didn't produce any dust. The "terrace" sites appeared to be newly established and attractive. Amenities include a swimming pool, a brand new playground, and a lake featuring a water fountain. The laundry facility was spotless. The WiFi connection was robust and efficient. We were able to receive less than 10 local TV channels. The staff was welcoming and the camping shop was well-stocked. We would consider revisiting this campsite. Conveniently located near a grocery store and a pharmacy. This peaceful location is just a short distance from Fredericksburg.

We booked for a long weekend in early October to visit the Civil War battlefields around Fredericksburg. We arrived around 8 pm but the staff were ready to take us to our site right away. We were at site 100 with the best view of the lake and a great stone patio with beautiful furniture and a stone fire pit. The WiFi was great for working remotely and watching Netflix at night. Overall I really enjoyed this KOA. We did not use the pool or other amenities but I checked out the laundry facilities and they looked nice. Other sites didn’t offer too much privacy but ours was apart from the rows and felt much quieter. Would recommend!

We all want to know how close the sites are together. Pretty darn close, at least where we were in site 44. That said, it was such a nice place that we didn’t mind foregoing a campfire. (Smoke would have filled our neighbors’ RVs.)
