Reaching this place is a breeze and its beauty is breathtaking. It's teeming with various birds, ducks, and turtles. The tranquility is unrivaled. We had the place to ourselves throughout the night. The lake is a magnet for anglers, with a handful dropping by. Be prepared for a swarm of mosquitoes, but the experience is definitely worth the battle.

This location is a fantastic spot for cost-effective camping (aside from the $5 camping fee for the wildlife management area, which covers all WMAs in Arkansas). I arrived here on a Wednesday in mid-January and found myself to be the sole camper. It's sufficiently distant from the city to give you a sense of being in the wild, even though you're not truly (the town, complete with all the standard fast food joints and a Walmart, is just 13 miles away). I am certain that I will return :)

This campsite was in an absolutely gorgeous location. The roads in were quite well maintained and the site was easy to find. There were 4 or 5 makeshift fire pits located throughout the peninsula. Lots of birds and bugs (but they didn’t bother us too much). The weather was incredibly humid and hot, but otherwise a great experience.

We parked our 23 foot travel trailer facing the water. There were lots of birds and insect sounds. The weather was clear and the water was calm, no boat or traffic noise.

This is a nice and marked campsite. It is right on the water, has a make shift fire pit, and you can drive right up to it. There’s a boat launch too.
