We went to Drummerboy in June of 2020. It was clean, and we got a pull through site which was very spacious. The camp ground is large with a lot of seasonal campers. We rented a gold cart, which is a must for the pool locations and kids. We have AT&T and I used my hotspot to watch TV in the camper. Internet was available but $7.95 a day.

Great campground. We stayed towards the front which had pull through, very large sites and was very wooded. The wifi had to be paid for, but was well worth the nominal cost considering you could stream on it (first time for that capability for us). Verizon cell service was great there as well, some of our visitors have At&t in which they had no service at all. There was trick or treating which was great for the kids. Plenty of activities still planned through this current Covid situation, but all precautions were taken and put out there for the campers. The only downside with the trick or treating was that there were tons of golf carts running around which made for dangerous situations throughout the walk around. Only suggestion to the campground would be to maybe limit golf carts on the roads during the 4pm-6pm trick or treating time. Otherwise, we loved the campground and the location of our site and the staff was nice and helpful as well. We will be returning.

Thousand Trails members and camping pass holders alike will be pleased with this new addition to the Thousand Trails camping portfolio. There was no daily up charge or additional fee whatsoever to stay at this wonderful camping resort using our Thousand Trails Membership with the Trails Collection add-on. This campground is convenient to all the attractions surrounding Gettysburg. The vast Michaux State Forest in Pennsylvania and Cunningham Falls State Park in Maryland are both a short 30 minute drive. We had a great time during our one week stay here. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 47.9 Mbps download speed and 4.30 Mbps upload speed. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 51.5 Mbps download speed and 6.43 Mbps upload speed. Check out our video campground review uploaded here on Campendium.

We stayed here on a Friday night and it was a lot of fun! Two pools, one with a slide. Mini golf and lots of activities for the kids. This was part of our trails collection. Would love to come back and spend a week here!

It first started when we arrived in our site and there was some trash and a pile of cigarette butts in the fireplace ring, disgusting! Our site was at an intersection and the traffic was never ending, not from just cars but the endless parade of golf carts making laps around and around and around again. I don’t understand the fascination, but with each lap it just kicked up dust which made the whole experience terrible. If your looking for peace and quiet this is not the place, but if your looking to train for NASCAR this may be more your speed. The highway noise was present but not as annoying as the golf carts. The staff seemed very friendly though and had everything set out for us since we couldn’t enter the office during the Covid restrictions. Next time we will try something maybe a little smaller and hopefully they won’t allow the dust buggies.
