We were lucky enough to snag one of the very few sites with a bay view. (38,12,39). We were in 12 which added a lot to our experience. The campground is very clean with long paver sites. Everyone gets a table with umbrella. You can bring a fire pit to use on cool nights. They have a community one they light up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I would not have liked staying in one of the sites close to Miracle Strip Hwy. It's loud! You'll still hear it on the bay side but not as bad. The staff was nice. Jamie is super helpful and quick with a big smile. All the facilities are well kept. The pool is heated. The beach at The Island hotel is perfect with a beach bar and the most amazing white sand. We just loved it. They have nice pools we didn't use. One was heated. Live music and activities every day we were there. We had some cloudy/foggy days so we explored. The Gulf Island National Seashore is amazing. There are a lot of natural state parks too. The whole Emerald Coast area has a great vide with lots to do, shopping, and restaurants. If you are an oyster lover like us you'll be in heaven. Shout out to Boshamps! We had dinner on our last evening next door at Rick's. It was very good. Needless to say we will be back!

We stayed for 3 weeks in December. Clean site, a little tight but sites are long. We travel with kids we frequently went to the pool and hot tub across the street at the resort. Good pizza next door. Easy access to Okaloosa Pier and amazing whit sand beaches. Nice facilities, Staff was friendly and helpful community fire on Tuesday and Thursday to make s’mores. Nice little dock on the bay side great access for paddle boarding where we saw lots of fish and animals. We will be back. A favorite spot for us.

Small park with good space and shrubs/trees between each spot. Clean and centrally located. Great team at the front desk.

We only stayed here for one night but it is a great campground. On the water, close to the beach and restaurants. Jamie at the campground was super friendly, helped us into our site and even helped me out with a project I had on my fifth wheel. Very thankful for his help and will definitely return to this campground.

With just over 50 sites this is not a huge campground. The staff is very friendly and we have had no problems at all. The spacing is ok between sites, but there is shrubbery between each site making it feel more private. You do get a little jet noise, but that is NOT a complaint.... Just wanted to let everyone know. Good cell service and free Wi-Fi and cable TV.

we stayed at Destin West for 2 nights in space 40 in our 45’ coach and TOAD. Partial view of ocean. Space 39 offers the best view. Easy pull in and back out in the park, however, crossing traffic on the busy highway requires patience. Park is clean and well-maintained although the pool was closed during our visit due to maintenance. It is rather expensive for what is offered but the location to Ft Walton/Navarre is great.

Underwhelmed experience. We have been RVing for the last 20 years, while this was not our worst experience it just did not live up to expectations, hype or cost/night. While the brick sites were very lovely, the broken power connection pole, snowy/garbled cable connection, internet that was mediocre at best and unbundled bales of pine needle mulch stacked throughout the park made the overall experience more like what I would have expected at a park where you pay $30/night. A disappointing weekend experience overall.
