I stayed here 4 nights last April. As it was the most expensive park of all and in the capital, we thought it would be a good park, but on the contrary it was the worst campsite in all of Iceland. The website says that it is cheaper for those who book online, but there is no other alternative, as there is no one responsible in the park. Even if someone wants to complain about something, they will have to do it via email or by phone and there are issues that are not resolved that way. Despite all the security, with codes provided via email after paying, we found a drunk homeless man, who entered the kitchen because someone opened the door and in addition to sleeping there, he left everything dirty, in true chaos. The cleaning was done by two ladies, who cleaned everything in less than an hour and obviously nothing was very clean, because immediately afterwards I went to the shower and under the benches there were piles of garbage and even underwear that had fallen there. Maintenance also has not been done for a long time, because there were showers and toilets that didn't work, clogged drains that cause flooding of water in the bathroom, a sign in the laundry room saying that the machines were broken. Unfortunately, the image they leave is that they only look at tourists as a source of money, instead of worrying about their well being. They have a lot to learn from the Grindavik campsite, for me the best park in Iceland.
