We selected this KOA so our grandkids could enjoy the activities - except there weren't any. We stayed 9 nights and they only had 2 activities the entire time, on Sat.--with a "schedule" for Saturday unavailable until Saturday morning. Very unusual based on our experience at other KOAs, disappointing. Pros: Nice office and store, great people in the office--especially Thomas, some lovely wooded sites, easy to navigate in motorhome, fire ring, firewood delivered to site (and if unopened, can return for refund), trash pickup at each site. Comfortable pool with clean cement deck. Cons: Grounds and sites are neglected. Though we saw at least 4 staffed golf carts every day--often resting near office to guide to sites, none seemed to be cleaning up. Poles knocked down, lots of junk stacked around buildings. Our site was littered with scraps of paper, popsicle stick, dog poop when we arrived. On grass-cutting day no one blew/swept the grass off our patio or the steps to the motorhome--it was carpeted everywhere. The bounce pad for the kids was often unavailable (not open, not staffed) and it was filthy. Our girls white socks were black after one session. One day we got a message that the game room was closed due to being vandalized the evening before; twice we got messages that the water was shut off for repairs. Cable TV down for season (though not mentioned in advance). Crater-sized pothole at the campground exit. We camped at Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA Holiday in a Motorhome

Heading out for the first time this year my first stop was at this campground. When parking my camper I noticed several incompatibilities with my campsite. First, the electric and sewer hookups were located some distance apart and the small concrete pad (patio?) made it impossible for me to park my camper with the front door over the patio without an additional sewer line and an additional electrical line. The fire ring was located next to the driveway (like a foot). So if I parked my camper where I would step out onto the concrete pad, I would need an additional 10' of electric, 10' of sewer hose and I couldn't use the fire pit without burning up my camper. This park has several permanent sites. I met a couple of the permanent folks. Nice friendly types. KOA employees were polite. Even with the Covid restrictions placed on the parks checking in was smooth and seamless. The campground was clean. Roadways were in good condition. 40# of water pressure and seemed to be city water. They do have cable. I did hook it up however it was next to useless, having poor quality. Your neighbors will be close. The park is well wooded. Overall OK.

Our visit here was 2 years ago; we only now became members of Campendium. We chose for this trip a luxury site because we had a guest traveling with us. The camp is in town but the access was without concerns for our 42-foot 5th wheel. The camp is large enough to allow for good walking space. On the opposide of the tree-shaded camp were some rather close together, rather rustic sites. Between were more spacious sites, but not yet like the luxury sites. We like to play bocce, and there is a large suitable grass area for such activity. We played one game through the annoyance of some mosquitoes, but shortly into the second game the swarm became too much to fight. We spent the evening inside. Staff was very friendly. They gave info and directions for shopping and dining. We'll stop again when in the area, but will check out a different value section next time.
