Bonita Ranch RV Campground

900 South Fork Road
92358, Lytle Creek
California, the United States

Bonita Ranch is located near Lytle Creek, in the foothills of the San Bernardino National Forest. Close to area attractions such as San Manuel Amphitheater (formerly Glen Helen Pavilion), Auto Club Speedway, and the San Bernardino Airport. Lytle Creek enjoys a moderate climate. We do get some snow in the winter, but it doesn't stick very long. Temperatures can reach the upper 90's for short periods during the summer, but highs in the upper 80's are more typical. We are about 1500' above the San Bernardino valley and above the main smog level. We have a large (10' long) barbecue pit, with a wench to raise the grill, that is designed for large groups. Special Club Rates available for 10 or more RV's and 2-night minimum. Free WiFi. Lytle Creek runs along the east edge of the park. It is a small creek that runs year `round and is a good sized stream in the spring. Bonita falls are a short distance up the canyon behind the park. Most sites have shade. We do have day use. Enjoy a picnic, family reunion, company event, wedding reception, etc. Come see us...or call for more details.

Kind of fine, kind of tired. Lots of full-timers. Our space was level. Bathrooms need paint but showers had good hot water. Lots of continually barking dogs that no one seemed to care about. No WiFi though they ‘have WiFi’ or Verizon signal. Pretty view of mountains. We stayed in 24 ft travel trailer. Road up was windy and narrow but lots of pullouts so was fine.

The manager is the type that gets flustered, maintenance guy referred to him as a bozo. He is nice just seems to be overwhelmed with maybe other things. For example told everyone the park was closing but forgot to tell me which left me with less time to find another location. Someone was broken down in the spot I booked but manager should have blocked that site from being booked...things like that. This Campground isnt a hikers delight, only 1 trail leading to an unimpressive fall.

Stayed here July 2020. Not too busy and very quiet at night. Many RV's seem to be permanent residents. Facilities were clean and accessible. Nice walk to creek and to Bonita Falls. Staff were not very welcoming at check in. Maintenance workers delivered firewood and firepits at night for cash. Worth the nightly rate.

We had a great time at this rv/campground. Super close to the waterfall (30-45 minute hiking). Super close to the stream (5-10 minute walk). Only has 20amp hook ups and little to no cell phone service. So those are the negatives but other than that it was pretty good. You come for the waterfall hike and the stream that many people hang out at, even sit in a tube and just chill.
