Belvidere Beach Campground

6233, Leschenault
Western Australia, Australia

Well defined, flat (and sandy) campsites in Leschenault Conservation park on the edge of the Leschenault Estuary with the Ocean only a stones throw away.
Most of the campsites are suitable for tents. There are half a dozen sites suitable for caravans or motorhomes. Part of Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park. Belvidere Beach (no facilities), and Buffalo Beach (with bitumen carpark, toilets and viewing platform) are close by. There are a number of walk and cycle tracks that provide views across the estuary to the Darling Range and Australind townsite. The area is popular with fishermen, especially those chasing a feed of crab. When you catch one, you can cook him up on the barbecue (one at each campsite) and eat them at the provided picnic table. Bring your mountain bike (or walking shoes) to follow the trail to "the cut". It is about 18km return and follows the estuary through native woodland made up of peppermint and tuart trees.
This campsite is in Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park Coastal conservation park on a penninsula between the Indian Ocean and the Leschenault Estuary More Information...
