We chose to halt at this location for an overnight stay while on our journey. The process of check-in and check-out was hassle-free.

This is an unusual campground. It has a total of about 90 FHU sites. Some are seasonal, some full time, and some for nightly or short term. The sites are scattered around the campground. The campground is located a few miles west of Brenham in a rural area. Some sites are back in, some pull through; some on grass, some on gravel; some in full sun, some with shade. The owner, Wayne, was friendly - he told us to choose any open site, so we chose a long, gravel, back in site with afternoon shade and a nice view of the pond. If you pay with check or cash, the cost is less. We could not get the WiFi to work - Wayne admitted it was not great. Both Verizon and ATT cell service was fine. Only 2 OTA channels worked, but we set up our portable Dish and it worked well. There are some amenities here we didn’t use: showers and restrooms, laundry, horseshoes, rec hall, covered pavilion, playground. No dog park but lots of space for dogs to play. The campground is nothing fancy to look at but we liked it.
