The path from the freeway is straightforward if you're in a van. However, it's not advisable for anything larger than a 25-foot trailer due to a tight bend, flanked by tall trees, which may pose a challenge for larger vehicles to navigate. Some of the waterfront spots are sloping and uneven. There's one spot that features a canopy, suitable for a compact tent.

Great place on beautiful Machias River. You will not be disappointed.

This campsite is convenient, right off of Route 9, but still quiet. It was clean with several sites and bathrooms on a lovely stream. Easy, level parking, I would definitely stay here again. I didn't have any service though, but it was peaceful.
