No complaints! The owners were very nice (this is their last year here and selling the property, so can’t say much about future owners). We stayed for a little over a week and had no issues (The first night we couldn’t get the power on, but all they needed to do was flip the breaker). Our spot didn’t have a campfire and was close to the neighbors, but the neighbors were never home (I think they just rented the spot to store their RV). There are spots that have more room and fire pits by the river though. It was quiet at night. The owner had daily activities. A good central spot to everywhere we wanted to go (no more than a 2hr drive)- White mountains NH, Stowe, Woodstock, etc. I would definitely stay here again. Signal was 2 or 3 bars LTE

The campground is nice, with great access to the calm, and relatively shallow, Israel River. Very well located near the White Mountain National Forest, with just a 30-min drive to either Mt. Washington or the Flume Gorge.

We booked based upon Campendium recommendations but were very disapppointed. Unless you are a tent camper the Onion River is not in view and campground has not groomed along the shoreline or removed dead trees; thus it is hard to see the river unless you access it thru one of the tent sites. The biggest issue was loud traffic noise from US 2. I should have anticipated this by looking at a map, but missed it entirely. We found our close neighbors to be very nice young people. Park has so much potential but needs work. Too many campers for the little washroom/showers, in my opinion.

We stayed here 2 nights in July and it was absolutely beautiful wish we could come back in the fall. The people are amazingly friendly, not just the staff but everyone we saw. They had blueberries you could pick (if ripe) and we saw a small apple orchard that were not ripe. Wonderful trails through the meadows, and a lovely “creek” with access for fishing. My kids had a blast exploring this campground. We had water and electric in a large grass site. With the Passport America discount it was $20 a night. They have a dump station that was easy to use. We did not use the showers so I can’t comment on them other than they were there. Side note this is about 30 min from the first Ben and Jerry’s factory (make sure to schedule a tour online) and 20 minutes from Montpellier.

We found Moose River campground because we wanted to visit Stowe Vermont in the October for the Fall and Moose River was the only campground we could find near the area that was open but it turned out being a wonderful option. We got super lucky to get a seasonal spot with a practical front yard facing the River. This isn’t common for every site but most all sites are on the River which is a gorgeous view. There are a lot of seasonal campers there so it feels like you’re staying in a small tight knit community. They provide bagels and muffins every Sunday free of charge which just adds to the charm. The owners, Mary and Gary are super friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again!

We had a great stop - very easy to enter, find the dumps station and water hose. Everyone (staff and campers) were very helpful. Our first dump stop!!

I didn’t stay here but they were on a path for boondocking. I called to ask if I could fill up water and they were very nice and allowed to fill up water at the campground. Cute place, with grassy camp spots next to a small river.

I called ahead to ask questions about the campground, if they could accommodate us. She said yes, to make the reservation online. Got our confirmation, but we were not on the books when we got there. She found us a spot in a field in the grass anyway with 50 AMPS. It was not level at all. Then when we dumped the next morning, the sewage was full and spewed out on us until we back it down. The campground had an amazing setting! Right on a cool river. And the staff was nice the one time we saw them. Just not great for a class a motor coach.

Moose River was easy to find and check in was quick as the owner comes out to your rig due to COVID to give you your package. We proceeded to pull-through site 25 with FHUs with utilities situated on the site center. The pull through sites were the better spaced sites. There were back-in sites along the campground (CG) perimeter and right on Moose River but most of the river sites were very close together. They had wood and propane for sale. The cable service worked well. We received 2 bars each on AT&T and Verizon. CG WiFi worked very well, mainly because they only allow two devices on the network and give you two access codes at check in. Some people complained, however, we believe more CGs should have this type policy. The CG was well maintained. For the sewer, they have holding tanks versus a sewer system. The tank was 100 gallons and they empty on Mondays and Fridays. If it fills sooner, upon request they will pump it out. The CG website advertises as catering to adults and we like the fact there were not kid type amenities. The owner stated that he sometimes gets inquiries if this CG is nudist friendly (its not) due to “we cater to adults.” There was a small fenced dog area on the adjacent property owned by the campground. The laundry room was small, expensive, and the dryers had issues. We originally wanted to book from Mon - Sat, but was told we'd have to either leave Friday or stay through Sun. As we were meeting up with friends to start traveling together, we wanted to leave the same day as them. It's okay to leave on Sat if you are staying Sat - Sat. I called to arrive a day early at our next stop and then called back here to book from Mon - Fri. That's when the owner decided it was okay to leave on Sat, but it was too late as I had already reserved the next stop. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

Great quite campground, we had a pull through site with a big front yard at the Tractor Garden. The grounds are kept immaculate with large pull thru sites in the middle. Many of the sites around the camp ground are on the Moose river. They ave a large fire ring, and pavilion where they have pot lucks and entertainment (none-during covid). The campground does have laundry and bath houses near the office and front porch where campers and friends can enjoy a cup of coffee while visiting with others. (note: porch closed during covid). Pets are welcomed and they have a dog park to allow your dog off leash. This a great place to stay to visit both the Green and White mountains to explore all they have to offer.
