Beautiful campground! Owners are so friendly and helpful. Sites are easy to get in to and are large. Quiet and secluded-which means minimal cell service. Only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer.

We booked this site months in advance and were really excited to stay. On the positive side of things, it is truly one of the best locations if you want to be in the Leelanau Peninsula and close to everything it has to offer. Leland and Suttons Bay, two of our favorite getaways, are really close. The sites are clean and they have full hookup. This campground is essentially on what appears to be old golf course fairways. It's wide open, no trees, full sun. There is an upper section and a lower section. The upper has great views and a nice breeze (that's where we stayed). The lower section is around a pond that looks like it belongs on a golf course, complete with bubblers to keep the weeds and algae down. The campers are set up in a large loop around the pond. The spacing is good and the noise is minimal. There aren't many amenities or really much to do, so you do need a vehicle to get around and see the nearby sites. We had read concerns about the mobile/cellular coverage and when we booked the site we specifically asked about mobile coverage. The resort offered to put us on the upper area where reception is better. When we arrived, we paid our remaining amount and checked in. Immediately we realized that there is NO coverage. Nothing. Apparently the area get slammed with people it crushes the connectivity. I set up my booster - still nothing! We monitored the connectivity on Verizon. Between approximately 10am and 8pm there was no phone or data. After 8pm it works great. I needed to work remotely, so this immediately was an issue. The campground wifi at the campground is also not good - don't plan on using it for anything. We ended up speaking with the front desk twice about this, but they were firm that there was no refund (even though we had just paid the remaining $400+). We stayed two nights, over the weekend, then ended up moving closer to Traverse City for the remaining 7 nights of our reservation and ate the cost. Summary - if you want to be in the Leelanau area, this place is great. If you are going for the campground experience OR if you have to work remotely (or need any connectivity) this is not the place. Would I stay again? Yes, if I was going for the location only. But I'm also bummed that they weren't forthcoming about the connectivity issues. I don't feel that they were honest when I booked this.

A quiet, beautiful RV resort nestled into the hills of the central Leelanau Peninsula, surrounded by orchards, vineyards, and wineries. The sites around the lake are well-maintained and spacious. The views are amazing, especially September and October when the fall colors come in. Jim and Brian and the rest of the staff are friendly and kind. They keep the place looking great, and every year there's something new at Wild Cherry. We've been here five times in the past six years, and we'll be returning again soon.

What a hidden gem for sure. Spacious sites, concrete patio pads, surrounded by lots of trees but not many near sites and you feel really remote even though only 3 miles from town. Only negative is the site is not level but otherwise perfect. Very tough to get cell service with Verizon as an FYI. For 3 days , not a problem but longer stay would need better solution

No bugs. Pave roads with gentle curves. Sites are spacious. Mostly older group with very few children. Perfect location for Dark Sky viewing. Warm days and cool nights for 4th of July. Suttons Bay is 2 miles away for groceries and serious WIFI connectivity. Water pressure was great and sewer connections well maintained. Sites had a right-sized concrete pad with adjacent fire pit.

Beautiful this time of year with full view of the surrounding trees in full color. Sits a bit in a valley with a small body of water. Ducks and geese. Neighbors Irish Setter loves chasing and we would chuckle watching. Convenient to several wineries. Leland and Sutton’s Bay just a short drive. We went over to Empire Bluffs Trails (1/2 hr drive) to hike and watch the bald eagles along the lake shore. Internet provided by grounds was just enough to stream a movie (but very few people there to suck up bandwidth). Would like to see faster speeds installed. Good AT&T connection too with about 10 Mpbs down. OTA TV reception would bring in enough channels. Price is a bit rich for no pool, or cable tv. Would frequent more if not so expensive. (Came here cause other grounds closed on a Saturday).

We absolutely loved it here. We were treated so well by all of the staff from the morning paper delivery to garage pickup all morning long if you put it out. Very attentive. Grounds are very well kept, large pond in the middle. Walk around pond/park is 1/2 mile. This is a perfect location to explore the Leland, Northport, Sutton’s Bay, Traverse City area. We strayers with a 2 week reservation and stayed 3 weeks. Cell and WiFi not so good. Went to Sutton’s Bay public library to download movies and do some work.

This RV park was a pleasure to stay at! The spaces are big and wide with lots of space between each space. Fire pits were provided and well placed and nice and level. The setting was peaceful and serene and very quiet ...we were there over Labor Day weekend and all the spots were full but still very quiet. Management was friendly and helpful as were all the campers. Great experience for sure

We enjoyed the pull in site. The pond in front of us was beautiful to look at! Level spot, patio with hard plastic picnic table, fire pit. Pond was catch and release no swimming.

After all our travels across the northern US, this was just what we needed! Spacious/clean sites & friendly neighbors! Wish they had a playground & laundromat but that might be by design... Can’t wait to return!

Nice pond, friendly hosts. Pretty place, big lawn with lots to explore. Kids love riding and skating around. Wifi is worthless. No shopping close. But small towns are quaint and pretty, scenery nice in this area. Enjoyed stay.

Lovely park with lots of open green space. Surrounded by trees with a pretty little lake. Rolling hills help add to the feeling of seclusion while being near everything. Sites are gravel but ours was level. Adorable, concrete patio space. We are here in a travel trailer but there are lots of big rigs and there is ample space. The Lodge is closed due to Covid but looks pretty. Staff is nice and knowledgable. Wifi is unsecured so we didn't try it. Very quiet area. Great bakery nearby and wine tasting room. We will definitely be back again!

The campground is very well maintained and clean. With COVID, things were a little different, but for the most part folks were helpful and trying to make the best of it. The "sites on the lake" are really "sites on the pond" but not bad at all. Pro's - Close to the TC area - Spots level for the most part and all hookups clean - Quiet campers - Not too far away from stuff, but enough to keep things less touristy - Tasting Room at the end of the road Con's - The Wifi is HORRIBLE. Impossible to do any remote work with even basic VOIP. Tried both our extenders and AP with no luck - You can walk to trees, but the site really sits against the pond with no shade or cover. If you are looking for nature this probably isn't it. I am going to rate the site quality very high but go off that only if you are looking for that type of site. - We were there for 3 days. All 3 days the lawnmower was going around our site

We camped in a Class C 25ft Motorhome. The site is a back in right on the lake. Loved the cement patio and the site is pretty level. Saw some boys fishing in the pond. The park wifi was adequate for emails etc. No pool but they are working on remodeling a clubhouse for communal meals lounging etc.

This is our second time staying at this RV park. We stayed here in the fall of 2019, and have now been here for May/June of 2020. The lots are big and the grounds are maintained. The staff is friendly and the place is QUIET! That may be a plus or minus to you, but even with small children we have enjoyed it. It is close enough to many northern Michigan destinations to make it worth the trip!
