We stayed here on a Sunday, following a busy weekend, to a very clean and beautiful space. Sites are mostly large, level and have wide spacing and trees between. Some line the river, but the water is extremely low. Bathrooms were very clean. Cell service was good and enabled video calls for work.

A beautiful, calm, quiet campground in October. We backed into spacious site 12, which offered us 30A electric hook-ups only. (Note: This campsite had a 50A outlet, but it did not work). There are a few waterfront sites in this campground, although they don't offer any form of hook-up, and were reliably reserved each night. While our campsite was not waterfront, it provided plenty of natural joys and decent privacy. We enjoyed the access to the Kinzua Valley Trail (rail trail variety), a quick run or walk up the road. There is also great access to the North Country hiking trail near the campground too. There were many hunters out during our October stay, which overlapped with bear hunting season, apparently. We felt safe enough on the Kinzua trail wearing orange/reflective gear, and saw a few others out ambulating on the trail also. A dump station is available here with fresh water fill with threading to hook a hose to. The freshwater taps located randomly throughout campground loops are hit or miss as to if they have threaded spigots for filling your tank. There is a clean shower house with lukewarm water and good pressure. We got amazing Verizon LTE signal and speeds here.

Red house restaurant has excellent food. Great cycling but no Verizon coverage. Not even to make a call.

Campground entry is ridiculous. It is one lane so you have to wait for those checking in even if you are returning. Check-in takes at least 5 minutes each, so if you are arriving on Friday expect to wait. Campground is tight with many cars parked very close to the paved road. Cars go both ways on a road wide enough for one vehicle. One dump station for 125 sites. Garbage is near park entrance about 3 miles away from campground. Price reflects $5 charge for out of state guests. Not worth the $32/day cost. This is an older campground, some sites have trees in between, some do not. Some sites are hard to get into especially if you are over 30 feet. Cars parked on the edge of road made it more difficult. Get water at the dump station on your way in as spigots in the campground had cars parked in front of them. Site B14 was fairly level but most sites look to be sloped. Nice area for hiking and a large lake for kayaking and fishing. Nice park store, but laundry room was closed. NY state parks check in and out times are ridiculous, stated as 10 AM out and 5 PM in. It was not enforced at this park. 2 bars of AT&T service and no HDTV channels.

Nice state park. Our site was clean and plenty of room for 5th wheel. Some sites are smaller. Electric only, but community water right next to us. No Verizon cell service.

Have camped here many times. All types hookups. Need to book early for hookups. Some sites you have to watch step up or down angle from road. Take your time. AT&T no service. If you drive out of campground and head south (right) to top of hill before bridge there is a pull on the right there and you can get a couple bars service.about 1/4 mile down road. We were just there 4/16 through 4/19/21. If you have dogs check them for ticks. They are bad there this spring. Pulled one off each of our dogs. They are very small. It’s not just the campground, there around all over.

This was a super nice campground - spacious & private sites. Most seemed shaded. There is access to all types of water activities. We went over to Kinzua Bridge - it was only 30-45 min away (can't remember) and that was interesting. We had site 40 which is near the road so probably a little noisier than others but that wasn't an issue - it was still pretty quiet. The good thing about that site is that it is close to the bathroom/shower building.

Awesome sites that are generously spaced apart with some having paths to the water. The Allegheny River which backs up to the campground was a fantastic temperature for swimming when we stayed early August, 2020. We saw lots of folks fishing and many campers had boats as there are several launches nearby. Some noisy big groups but, not peep after 9 pm. Hector falls trail is a 20 minute drive down a forestry road. A beautiful 2 mile out and back hike that leads to a peculiarly beautiful trickle of a waterfall in a box like mini grotto. I would highly recommend it. The fees are included for a full hookup price above, so it's more like $28, $5 ea. for electric, water, sewer.
