This petite spot is a blend of a mobile home park and a camping site. Its unique landscaping and decoration add a touch of charm. It is mostly inhabited by permanent residents, with their trailers in various states of repair. After school, children can be seen riding bikes and scooters, as the school bus makes a stop within the premises. Unfortunately, there is no playground. A few homeless individuals are known to frequent the area, often seen sitting on a bench. The site offers one functional shower (requiring quarters) and a restroom. It lacks a designated area for dogs, a grocery store, and isn't easily accessible by foot. Only cash is accepted, not even checks. Despite these drawbacks, the community is welcoming, and the manager, Dan, is both kind and accommodating. Complimentary wifi is available, as well as complete RV hook-up. The picnic tables are well-maintained, although the fire pits are rusted. There are a couple of trails, one leading to Bonita Beach and another to the Mendocino Botanical Gardens. The location is on the southernmost tip of Ft Bragg, necessitating travel via Hwy 1 to reach the town, which can be bustling. Biking is not advisable. If you have a vehicle, it is a convenient base. However, local residents seemed surprised when we told them we were staying there. They suggested MacKerricher State Park, a few miles north of Ft Bragg, which is visually appealing but lacks RV hook-ups.

During Mardi Gras, we spent a week at the Hidden Pines. It was the best time ever! Stephanie and Chance were our gracious hosts. They had a weekend filled with enjoyable activities for both adults and children. Our toddler, who is almost two, had a blast. The campsite is very well-maintained. The facilities were spotless and the grounds were in excellent condition. Our little girl was thrilled with the two playgrounds and multiple swings available. Although it was too chilly for swimming and we experienced some rain, they invited us to relax in the pavilion so we weren't stuck indoors all day. We will definitely be back and can't recommend this campsite enough!

This eclectic location has been around for decades, and had a low point. New blood has taken over and major renovations are underway. The required permanent residents are separate from the short term visitors.

I spent one month here in my Ford Transit campervan from late April to late May 2022. It was partly to visit friends in the area but also to save on gas prices. I really enjoyed my stay! The rate was $550 for the month I'm not sure of the daily rate. I had a lovely grassy spot with picnic table, fire ring, some bushes for privacy and access to water and the bathrooms. It is a very organized and well-run campground it was peaceful and I felt safe and at home there. It is mostly long term residents and some families and I enjoyed the mix. Water is from a well with an excellent filtration system showers and bathrooms are clean with lots of hot water. WiFi is good cell service abit weak outside the center of Fort Bragg

We decided to take a last minute camping trip to Fort Bragg in the middle of December. All the state campgrounds were closed. The private campgrounds were slow to respond. This one responded and even told us that we might be able to find a cheaper place. We decided not to keep looking, but to go ahead and lock our reservation in. The cost was somewhere around $50 per night, if I remember correctly. The place could be easy to miss driving down the road: the campground is located behind the campground store. There was a lower area and and upper area. There was no one in the lower area and we think he put us in the best spot in the upper area, site #10. There were a few long terms there, but they were pretty much invisible. The water pressure was a little weak and we did not need a regulator in the line. There were two WiFi signals in the campground, but we did better via cell phone signal. (AT&T). We checked out some other campgrounds in the area, but they were pretty crowded and cramped. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Fort Bragg.

We love this RV park. Haven't stayed her for a couple of years and it's still as lovely as remembered. Most of the sites are so private and you can't even see your neighbor. Clean and quiet. Cable TV was pretty good. Cell reception is pretty spotty as it normally is along the coast. Our Tmobile hotspot got best signal.

I stayed in site 39 and my in-laws stayed in site 38. GREAT setup if you want to camp with someone as you both share a common "driveway" into your sites. The driveway itself is long enough and wide enough that two more cars can park in front of your truck and trailer with room to spare. But even if you get one of these sites and aren't camping with the person in the next site over, there is still great privacy between the two. What keeps this from getting five stars is the typical, next to useless RV campground wi-fi. However, if I just walked up to the road in front of our sites I got signal that wouldn't constantly drop me, so perhaps a wi-fi extender would be all that's needed. Also, reservations and payments are 100% old school. Online reservations are not a thing here - you have to call to reserve a site. And, online payment is not a thing, either. You must mail in a check for your reservation deposit, and then you must pay the balance due upon arrival via check or cash. NO credit cards accepted. Cell service on Verizon is next to useless, as well. Voice calls are okay but the 1 bar of LTE was completely unusable. But this, of course, is not the campground's fault. Just be aware if you rely on cell service for data you probably won't have any. I logged -125 dBM 15 asu on my phone. Which is BAD. With the above caveats, know that this is a GREAT location within 20 minutes or less to many activities in Fort Bragg and Mendocino. And again, the sites at this park are spacious, private and woodsy. Also, the "fire pits" are actually old washing machine drums set on top of truck rims which you can move to where ever you like. They may not be attractive, but boy do they work well! Like a poor-man's Solo Stove. We've been using oak, which has been horribly smoky at home, but was totally smokeless in these fire pits due to all of the holes in the washer drums providing plenty of air. So don't let the look disappoint you, rather bask in the heat of a smokeless fire!

Stayed here in our 32' 5th wheel with friends in site next to us. Had to mail in a check for first night's deposit and wait for mailed confirmation. Cash or check upon arrival. Good Sam discount was helpful as we were charged $5/night for our 11 year old grandson (pets are also $5/night extra...our friends' son brought his 5 children and 2 dogs so he nearly paid for a second site! None of us were aware of the extra fees before arrival.). Our rate was for water/30 amp as it was $4/night extra for 50 amp, which was on our power box but had a lock on it (as a 50 amp 5th wheel we used our adapter...60 degree weather didn't need a/c). Dump in far corner of park was fairly easy to access on the way out. Most sites have sewer and are $2 more per night. Our fairly level site was up top so cell service was a bit better (Verizon and ATT) than elsewhere but still struggled at times. Pretty folliage, clean bathrooms (showers cost "extra," 50 cents for 3 minutes), and reasonable laundry (3 washers, 4 dryers). Firewood can be bought onsite and used in provided dryer drums. Folliage around the roads could use some trimming as we often scrapped bushes. Quiet at night. We would not stay here again due to the "extra" fees and Hwy 20 from 101 is a difficult road to maneuver in a large RV. Fort Bragg is a nice town (Safeway grocery is pricier compared to other stores) and the coast is stunning, so glad we got to see this section, but once is enough!

Made last minute reservations, so didn’t have to deal with their old fashioned deposit scenario. Cash only, which was OK with us. Some sites were private, others were semi-private...which, had they been full, would have been too close. 60B was directly behind 60A, I guess if you were traveling with someone else would be ok. WiFi was unusable, cell coverage very weak for both Verizon and ATT. Too far from the beach or town to bike or walk. Quiet though, we could hear the ocean at night. Full hookups a plus, cable TV was good. Only one dumpster near us, and was overflowing! No online reservations.

Once you get past the funky rules about making a reservation by phone and sending your deposit check by snail mail, this is a nice place. Very quiet and most sites have lots of privacy. Cell service not great but it’s like this up and down the coast. Great location, very close to all the beautiful state parks in the area. They don’t take credit cards so plan accordingly

Short term stays are in the less nicer tree-less areas, but near yummy blackberry bushes! Longer term stays are nestled in the more picturesque areas near the trees and with more view of the ocean. Mike is funny and eccentric, and speaks directly. There is a no refund (at all!!) policy, but you can rebook to another time within a certain time frame if you need to change. Kids are not allowed to ride bikes freely through the park, which was odd because so many other parks are fine with that. They must have had some really nasty kids one time who ruined it for everyone else. You have to pay to use the small unheated pool ($5/person), and showers are coin operated. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

There is a funky “no refund” policy but that didn’t affect me. I stayed one night. Wifi included, water and electric. Dump station is free for guests. Showers available but I didn't use them. Mike is a bit eclectic but friendly and thorough. He came by and offered to take my trash bags to the dumpster. His assistant Barry was super nice and helpful. Not much grass, mostly dried up and gravel to park on. I've heard there is a pool. No frills but safe. Would stay again.

My reservation was cancelled by Pomo due to the COVID outbreak. They refused to give me a full refund because they cancelled the reservation. They said they will keep the deposit. I did not cancel the reservation nor did I plan to. The lady I talked to was extremely rude, I can see why so many people say the staff is horrible. I could understand losing a deposit if I cancelled but they are the ones who cancelled. Be careful as they can cancel your reservations at any moment and keep your deposit.
