Our midway stopover between Thousand Trails Colorado River in Columbus, TX, and RPI Wilderness in Robertsdale, Alabama, was the Frog City RV Park situated in Duson, Louisiana. We spent three nights there, dealing with the slightly narrow park roads. It seemed like all, or at least most, of the sites were pull-through. The staff was hospitable and welcoming. They even offered breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, which we, unfortunately, missed due to our busy schedule but plan to try next time. We were conveniently located near Lafayette and had the chance to witness the Mardi Gras parades. Our stay was at site 14, and we had no issues with water, sewer, or electricity. Despite the rain during our setup and the cold weather throughout our stay, our site was flat and spacious enough to accommodate our 42' fifth wheel and one-ton dually. As expected, there was considerable road noise due to the park's proximity to I-10 and a large truck stop and hotel nearby. The roads outside the RV park could use some improvements, and one had to be cautious of potholes while entering and exiting the park. The park offered package pickup at the office, reliable internet, and a picnic table at each site. However, there were no fire rings. The pool seemed well-maintained, and there was ample space between the campers, ensuring privacy. We would certainly consider staying here again. This park, discovered during a westward journey on I 10 from New Orleans, left a remarkable impression! It's an excellent spot with an ideal location. The staff are wonderful, and the facilities including the washrooms and laundry are top-notch. An additional perk for those staying over the weekend is a complimentary continental breakfast. The area is bustling with activities and attractions. We'll definitely bookmark this place for future visits if we find ourselves in this region again.

The team at this location is excellent, approachable, and extremely supportive! The park, although small, is quite good! All the facilities were functioning as promised and I noticed the team making improvements daily. The spacing between the sites was somewhat cramped, but this is typical for RV parks. Overall, I'd suggest this park for a short stay, perhaps a day or two, especially if you need to do some laundry, which is what I used it for.

We stayed at Frog City as we headed east on I-10. We chose this park since it is right off the highway and is reasonably priced. We had no trouble making a one night reservation on a holiday weekend and received a cheerful greeting when we checked in at the office. We found the park to be clean and our full hookup site to be more than what we needed for our overnight stopover. We’ll surely be back again on our next trip that takes us through the area.

Full hookups on a pull through gravel site. They had a nice pool area and it looked well cared. I checked out the bathhouse. There were several private bathroom/shower rooms but I was glad I didn't need to use it. It definitely could use updating. Very close to a Love's, we thought the truck noise might be bothersome. It quieted down and did not disturb our sleep. However, the truck noise did wake us around 6:30 AM. They ladies in the office were very nice and recommended restaurants in the area. They said we were here at crawfish season, a big deal around here. So we chose to try Cajun Claws, very close to the campground. We were not disappointed.

Very nice staff, helpful, large dog run but dark with broken light. Gravel spaces, only tables pretty worn out ones. Pool looked nice, didn’t use it. Parked on gravel. Free WiFi but only for tablet or phone, doesn’t work for TV. Kept shutting off when using it on my phone. Thought it was very pricy for February. Just stopped in a RV resort, last night , ocean front, on a wide cement pad for 28.00 a night. This RV park has noisy truck/ semi traffic on I10 Al light long, next door truck stop gas station. And a train nearby … which was actually kind of nice sounding, but might bother some people. Park is Hidden behind a motel 8. Pull through sites long enough for RV and toad

Very convenient to I-10 but back far enough there was no road noise. However, there was some train noise from time to time while we were there. No major changes. Pull through FHUs with cable. We used our Dish though. Wifi was not working but I was warned of that when I checked in. Pool was very clean. Nice pavilion. Clean showers and rest rooms. No cookies given out this time (maybe still due to Covid? I didn’t ask). Led to site by employee. Another change was we were given a page with nearby restaurants and local stores in the area, which is a nice touch. We often stay here when going east or west on I-10.

Very friendly people, very accommodating when we arrived. Restrooms and showers very clean and air conditioned. Convenient to Lafayette area attractions. Seem to be a good stop off point for rv’ers going east or west on I-10. Would stay again. Good basic cable but the internet was not working while we were there.

Very nice people at check in and great information about the area. The work camper who led me to my site was very nice and helpful. If heading east on I-10 turn right at exit. The park is behind the Super 8 and the entrance drive is between Super 8 and gas station. Site was easy to get in and out of and little noise from highway and trains. The park was full and turning people away so make reservations!

TL;DR: DO NOT STAY HERE! Their maintenance manager, Charles, called me a jackass for confronting him about turning off my electricity after he said he could wait until I was off work. This place can get noisy with the highway and the truck stop right next to it. The roads that lead to campsites are pretty narrow. An employee's dog barked at everything in sight while left on the least, outside, alone, which is against their rules. This spot was halfway between our destinations, and we were only staying a week. We were excited to be near Rayne, LA to explore the Frog Capital of the World. That all took a turn on Wednesday. In the middle of my work meeting, their maintenance manager, Charles, knocked on my door to ask if they could turn off my electricity for some maintenance. I said no because, again, I was in the middle of a meeting. He said, "Okay, just let me know when you are done." I just got done with my meeting when they pulled back up and asked if they could turn it off again. I asked them if they could wait until 5 o'clock because I was working. They said okay, and I thought it was done. Fifteen seconds after I said that, they turned off my electricity. I went outside to see what was going on, and they were working on my pedestal. After I confronted them, he didn't care at all. He just said, "I'm the manager; I can do whatever I want." I said, "The least you could've done is tell me so I could've saved my work and shut everything down, so it didn't ruin any of my stuff." I started to turn away, and he said, "What do you want me to do; buy you lunch" and I just reiterated my point. As I walked away and turned the corner of my RV, he called me a jackass like I couldn't hear him. This is how they treat their paying customers. I called the office to report him to their office manager and they did nothing. All of this could have been avoided if the second time they knocked and they told me they couldn't have waited and given me a little time to shut everything down. They do not care about anyone that stays here. Go somewhere else that cares about their customers.

This rv park is well kept and clean. A dog park area with poop bags is provided for playing with the pups. A nice pavilion with gas grill is available for rent. The bath houses are clean. The negative is the sites are very close together. It is an easy in and out right off of I10 (but far enough away that you don’t hear traffic) so it was a nice stop on our way to Florida.

Only spent night, no noise from freeway and little from railroad. When turning off from freeway turn onto frontage road. GPS says turn on Durant Rd or something like that But just take first frontage rd. To right.

Stayed here a couple of years ago just after ownership changed. Park is cleaner and well run. Passport American price is probably less than running a generator all night at a Cracker Barrel. Site 15 tripped my EMS due to low voltage, moved to 17. Like all these small aged park there are a few permanent residents. Mostly pull through sites. I used a WeBoost with the 4 inch antenna otherwise the cell would be one bar lower.
