We knew next to nothing about this campground before coming here, it was just a week long stop on our way to Maine. We were especially concerned as we got deeper and deeper into the country and further and further from civilization because if this was an awful place it’s not like we could just hop over to another campground nearby. But we were very pleasantly surprised by how great this place was! Pros: One of the quietest and most spacious campgrounds we’ve ever stayed in. As you’ll see in the pictures, our campsite was probably a good 200-300 feet or more from the other sites on either side of us so we basically had a large front yard. Throughout the week you could basically hear a pin drop outside, it was only on the weekend that it got “noisier but that was because families had come in like you would expect so it wasn’t bad at all. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring which is always nice. They have a small but very nice pool with a couple tables and some poolside chairs and they provide life jackets for kids and even a poolside cornhole game. My wife and I work remotely and, even though it wasn’t amazing, we had good enough wi-fi through them to be able to work on most of the week and even stream tv with. We did have to rely on our jet pack from time to time but anyone who knows about campground wi-fi knows to even be able to use it at all is a huge plus! Cons: Really the only major con was the phone service. We have Verizon and my work phone is T-Mobile and at most would get 2 bars of LTE but it mostly stayed at 1 so if we weren’t connected to the internet or our jetpack our phones were basically useless. But again, out in the country like we were it’s to be expected. There’s also not much in the way of grocery stores or restaurants nearby. There’s one small grocery store and a couple restaurants about 9 minutes away but no big store or fast food place (not that we needed fast food but sometimes it’s nice to have that option when you don’t want to cook). The nearest Walmart is about 25-30 minutes away so just have everything you need before you come. Overall: This was one of the best campgrounds we have stayed in in our nearly 1 year of full time traveling. You can tell most people here are either seasonal or full time residents but unlike most campgrounds with that, all their sites were very nice and well kept up. And unlike so many campgrounds we’ve stayed at, people were out sitting by fires or riding bikes and just enjoying the campground which brings a nice charm to it. The only reason it didn’t get a 5 star from us is because of the cell service and quite honestly because we’re very careful to just hand out 5 star ratings unless we’re absolutely blown away. But we would definitely recommend staying here for a week or a month or however long you need to, you’ll enjoy it for sure!

Not sure where the other folks were thinking that said they had good cell service here??? I have 0 bars Verizon and have to find somewhere else to stay this week so we can work. Other than that it seems like a really nice place. Site is very unlevel.

Passport America and Good Sam discounts work here. The campground is great, very well kept up and comfortable while still feeling like camping. The sites aren’t huge but they aren’t tiny and on top of each other either. The pool seems new The bathhouse is very nice, one quarter for 8 min of water; used my camper bathroom so I can’t speak to water temperature or pressure. The camp store has some food and games as well as ice and firewood. There is a lovely lake/pond that you can fish in or rent a canoe ($5) and paddle around. Area is lovely and lots of hiking options at near by Rickets Glen state park, as well as a “beach” at the lake where you can swim. The only negative about the campground is that the fire pits don’t have a cooking grill, so if you prefer to cook over a camp fire you’ll need to bring your own equipment. About half the sites are seasonal/permanent and it’s fun to see all their setups. There is WiFi which works great during the week but is overwhelmed on weekends, not surprising. Nice to have it at all!

We spent four nights here so we could visit Ricketts Glen State Park. Although it’s about 30 minutes away, it’s a nice drive and the best place in the area. We really enjoyed the park. It was clean, quiet and had nice wooded sites. Although there are seasonal places there, the sites are kept immaculate and everyone was super nice. There are lots of country roads to walk nearby. There are not a lot of stores or restaurants, it’s pretty rural, which was perfect for us. We did not use the pool or bathrooms, but did use the laundry. There was only one w/d but we never had to wait and it was really inexpensive in comparison. Overall, a total win.

We averaged $41 / night with our Passport America discount for 2 of the 4 nights for W/E50/S/I. We were traveling with a group and were supposed to be near each other. However our site was across the street where there are 4 sites. Was not happy about that at all. The site we were assigned was not even close to being level and sloped almost 12 inches between the front and rear tires. I expect more for a site that is $55 / night without discounts. We tried for 1 1/2 hours to get level ourselves using all our wood and blocks. We called and asked for another site but none were available. We were only saved by a very nice man by the name of Dave who brought some additional wood blocks which allowed us to get level. Without Dave's efforts, our experience would have been terrible.

We stayed here the 1st weekend in May. The campground is small and quiet, most of the sites appear to be for longterm rentals who were not yet camping. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions there were no amenities/common areas open, which was fine with us, we were looking to spend the weekend hiking and just needed full hookups. The site was gravel and pretty level with Water/Electric/Sewer, a fire ring and picnic table. The owners were very nice and accommodating throughout the reservation process and our stay, even checking in with us to see if we needed anything and delivering firewood to our site when requested. I would definitely stay here again.
