Scrivi una recensioneA nice mostly quiet place to stay on the lake near Atlanta. The good: Lovely camp hosts every time I've come. Lots of pull thru sites. Some sites are quite nice and on the water with walkways down to the lake. A decent sectioned off beach in a cove is available. Two bathhouses. Two dump stations. Good electric posts and nice water pressure. Sites are reasonably separate from each other with some large loops. The meh: Because its on the lake, you are subject to the noises of some big power boats which can be disruptive. The bathhouse is somewhat clean and has full facilities (2 showers, 2 stalls, 1 urinal for men's) however it is older. Seems like you will have 2-4 bars signal with all carriers within the park which is good. I was able to stream at 480p with most of my cell hotspots with one device, however browsing on a laptop +streaming would cause buffering on the streaming. Kind of narrow neighborhood roads to get to the park which will be fine for most people but truly large and wide rigs may be a bit of an issue of there are two rigs trying to pass each other. The bad: No soap in the bathhouse on either side, yuck! Some gunk on the floor of men's showers for several days. The really good sites get picked up basically 6 months in advance as they are open for booking.

We love this campground but lately the cleanliness of the bathrooms are unacceptable. Old debris from past campers have been allowed to stay in the shower stalls for weeks. Maybe someone reading this review will light a fire under someone’s but to start doing their job. It never use to be this way but has declined lately. Someone from COE should conduct cleanliness inspections on the workers who I am sure are being paid but not performing their job duties. We frequent this campground a lot so we are familiar with debris that has been left for weeks at a time.

Loved this campsite! Our dogs enjoyed walking around and playing in the water a bit. The campsites were a good size and people seemed friendly.

This is a very nice and wooded campground on the lake. There are lots of trees so not many sites have a clear view of the lake, but you can see the lake through the trees and there is easy access to it. The sites are spacious and have plenty of privacy thanks to the trees. The camp hosts are very nice as well. Verizon worked okay there, but with our booster it was better. AT&T actually worked better than Verizon. The only thing we did not like about this campground is it felt like we had a curfew. They lock the gate so you can't get in or out between 9pm and 7am. Not only does that seem unsafe in case of emergencies, but it's also inconvenient if we wanted to be out past 9pm, or if we had guests that didn't want to have to leave the park by 8:30pm (that's the rule for guests). Our purpose for staying there was to visit my sister who lives in that town and if we went to her house for the evening, we didn't want to have to get home by 9pm so we just ended up spending the night at her house. And when she visited us it was inconvenient that she had to leave by 8:30. This was in October and I believe the hours are a little better in the summer, but it's still a little unsettling knowing you're locked in for the night. In 3 years of fulltime travel we've never been at a campground that does this. We have been at several that have gates, but they always have a code so that people staying there can get in or out after hours. It would be nice if this park would implement a gate with a code.

Victoria Campground is an excellent Army Corps of Engineers Campground that is located just north of Atlanta on Lake Allatoona in Woodstock, GA. As with our previous experience in a COE park, our stay was just amazing. These campgrounds seem to do a great job at making beautiful campsites along beautiful lakes and have just the right density of campsites so that it doesn't feel crowded. You will probably get very reliable cell service here, I mean it is in the Atlanta Suburbs. We got two bars of good reliable service here with our Verizon phones. These sites are electric and water. They have 50 amp and 30 amp power. There is no sewer hookup but they do have two dump stations. The one by the gate is easier to get into, just because there is a decent curve around the other one. One important thing is that if you qualify for the Senior pass or the handicap (access pass) be sure you have that when you visit. This will give you 50% off your reservation fees. We have a video explaining the different passes below. I did not know at the time though that only the handicap and the senior pass got you camping discounts. As far as the better sites. All of these sites are wonderful... but my top 5 picks would be 22, 13, 19, 21, and 17. These are all right on the water! The bathrooms are dated, but very functional. They are also very clean. The one near the gate is a little cleaner in the fact that the stall dividers aren't rusty, but both bathrooms are definitely usable. There is a playground by the beach that's located in the campground. The beach area looks like it will be great in the summertime. There is also another beach area that is just past the campground. I would say it is probably more crowded, but it is a very nice open beach area as well. Check in time is a little late, but you can call the main office to see if your site is ready early. The phone number is 678-721-6700.
