We stayed here in our 38' motorhome with toad. We had plenty of space and nice level concrete pads. The park is gated, has a lake, nice pool area and FREE golf! We also enjoyed the golf course's bar and grill which is frequented by locals. We took a day trip to Yosemite. The local Save Mart is very nice and for more supplies Madera was a short trip down 99. This is a very nice and quiet park.

We have stayed here at least a half a dozen times. This place is a super secure gated park. Easy check in. It is a great stop over spot when traveling in the Central Valley. A quite location but an easy couple of miles off Hwy 99.

We were just passing through and stayed overnight here. Beautiful park with a planned, manicured vibe.

This is a long drive from our home base in Murrieta, but worth it! (If you drive as far & stop as often as we, call before they close & pay for your site before the office closes!) The park itself is beautiful. Our site this time was more caked mud then grass, but it wasn’t an issue. Since our last visit, I’ve tended not to award the highest rating to a park unless they have streamable internet. Since we were here only one night, I didn’t even try. Instead, after a long day’s drive, we walked over to the adjacent golf course’s bar & grill for dinner. We love this type of amenity & this was excellent. I can watch DVD’s or use our hotspot if I have access to a great dining experience.

Heat wave and we wanted to plug in to run the a/c overnight. Booked same day over the phone and chose a lakefront site. When we pulled into the site, we made jokes about how it wasn’t so much a lake as it was a golf course water hazard. But then we noticed there were a ton of really cool birds hanging around in the water. Green herons and egrets catching little fish. Ducks, geese, swallows, coots. Got the bird book out and watched them for hours. It was the relaxing and quiet evening we were looking for. They offer a free round of golf or a $10 discount with the booking. The pool area was clean and modern. The entire park was well lit and very safe. We’d definitely stay here again and would even pay a little extra for the lakefront site.

Lots of campgrounds use the resort word and are not resorts in my opinion. This one is. It is a beautifully maintained campground with oleander trees, shrubs and a large pond. With Covid, we were allowed inside but the workout room and rooms inside looked nice. The outdoor pool was small but worked well to cool off and do my aerobics. There was also a small hot tub. The sites around the pond are premium, some with stamped concrete patios, but all the sites were roomy. We loved site 50 which was nicely shaded, especially since temps got to 100s. We were able to sit outside a lot of the day. The coolest factor of this campground is that next door is a golf course with a couple of restaurants. Your stay includes a round of golf per day. While we didn’t take advantage of that, we did enjoy the bar and restaurant several times. The residents were awesome and friendly. The campground is concrete drives and sites so very level and easy to drive. The noisiest part of the camp is the birds as there are many, but not overly noisy. There are secure gates that are kept locked and you are given a remote to open. There is not much to Chowchilla but Fresno and a couple other towns are nearby with plenty of large stores such as Target and Walmart. You are about an hour from Yosemite here.

Arrived at 8 PM and our registration was in the drop box as explained over the phone. The roads were nice and wide and we had a pull thru space on level concrete. Electricity and water were good. The pool was small and the rules said no scooters. This is mainly an adult golf resort. We have kids and they need something to do outside before we get in the car for the next drive day.

While this campground feels like it is essentially in the middle of nowhere, it is actually convenient to several places as long as you don't mind driving - 45 min to Fresno and 1 and half hour from Yosemite NP. There is, however, a great grocery store and bar/restaurant within walking distance. The huge selling point to this campground is it's proximity and relationship to the next door golf course where you can golf a round for free and where the bar and restaurant offer a tempting closeness for nightly. happy hours! The rate for the month made the daily rate pretty fair. The campground itself is super clean and nicely maintained. The lots are all owned by RVers then rented out so several have fancy grills and patio areas. There is a very nice pool and spa next to a nice pond that adds a lovely water feature. Several spots are right on the water. The best spots are on the long side of the pond across from the camp offices as they offer great shade. Our spot, #50, was right on a corner with great shade which made it possible for us to sit outside even when the temperatures reached 100. I didn't use the laundry or go into the office area, but both looked nice. It is gated so felt very secure as well. Cell service was good though occasionally and seemingly random, it was very slow. We would reboot and it come back to normal.

Since the ‘80’s, we’ve traversed the Central Valley in RV’s. We visited ‘The Lakes’ when it first opened. We would have purchased a lot immediately had it been there when we first started. Can’t believe it’s been 11 years since our last stay. This is a long drive from our home base, necessitating us to arrive well after dark in late November, but it was worth it. Our very long pull-thru made set up a piece of cake. The sewer dump location was puzzling, but being there only 2 days, we didn’t. All sites appeared to have mature hedges that really isolate you from your neighbors, even on the waterfront sites that could function as the dreaded buddy sites. We would have loved to take the short walk to the nearby golf course restaurant, but time didn’t permit. It certainly will not be another 11 years before we return!

The resort was very well kept and quiet (inside). The road that goes in front of it tends to have a lot of people speeding by in the evening and morning, but with our air conditioning running we couldn't hear it. Some of the sites were very well manicured and obviously owned individually. We stayed here during our trip home between AZ and the Bay Area - it was great as a stopping point, but there wasn't much to do around it except golf. We probably would have enjoyed the free golf - but we were working remotely during the day. If you're planning to work remotely, there are certain parts of the campground that have worse cell service than others. Ours ranged from 2-4 bars of service in our site. The tower is located just off the highway exit. Download speeds were high (25-40 mbps), but upload speeds were 3-5 mbps. The wifi wasn't high enough speeds for us, in the 1-5 MBPS range, and I don't think we were able to use it with our WiFi ranger because there's a permissions prompt.

Found this place on accident a few months ago. Came back for a 2nd time and will come back in the future. Very clean and secure. Right next to the golf course and green fees are INCLUDED for 2 golfers per nights stay. Golf course is legit (Pheasant Run GC). Make no mistake, this is glamping! Flat cement pads. Patio table and chairs. Grass and hedges between sites for privacy. If you're an RVer who enjoys golf on the road. This place is a great value
