Campsite Kapinovski Monastery
5032 Velchevo
Bulgaria
Campsite Kapinovski Monastery is nestled in the foothills of the Balkan mountains (Stara Planina) near two pearls of the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria: the Kapinovski monastery “Saint Nikolay, the Wonderworker” and the Plakovsky monastery “Saint Ilia, the Prophet”. The campsite occupies a strategic location on the map. We are situated about 200km from Bucharest and close to a main arterial road, providing quick access to Bulgaria's southern neighbours - Greece and Turkey. The old capital of Bulgaria – Veliko Tarnovo, a major tourist and historical center on the Balkans is only 20 km away from us. The campsite is surrounded by fascinating landscapes, typical for the pre-Balkan massif of Stara Planina: picturesque water cascades, tranquil woodland with meandering paths and evening sky dotted with bright stars. Here you will experience blissful and unique adventures. The secluded Campsite Kapinovski is the perfect place for those who seek direct contact with nature, combined with wonderful facilities for entertainment and recreation.
