Scrivi una recensioneI stayed at the Glăvoi campsite and I’m sharing this experience for anyone who wants to know what to expect. We arrived on Thursday evening and the campsite was almost full. On the first night, just as we went to sleep, the “festival” started: very loud club music, shouting and hysterical laughter until around 3 a.m. We were wearing earplugs and could still hear everything clearly, even though the main source of the noise was several hundred meters away. The next morning, two women sent by the local authorities collected the fee: 20 RON/tent + 20 RON/car/night. I asked the Mountain Rescue team how such noise could be allowed, and the answer was that “weekends are like this” and that it is better to come Monday to Thursday. The second night, the music continued, a little quieter, but wood was being chopped until around 4 a.m., while shouting and laughter echoed through the valley. By the third day, we were already exhausted after two almost sleepless nights. That evening I actually had to go from group to group and politely ask people to lower the music. Some understood immediately and were very respectful. Later, however, things escalated. I learned that a fight broke out between campers involving sticks and bear spray, and the Police had to intervene. That same night several groups turned their music up very loud again, and around 2 a.m. I was still trying to convince people to keep quiet. The place itself is beautiful, the hiking trails are amazing, and seeing the Milky Way at night was spectacular. The real problem is the management of the campsite. Money is collected, but I saw no rules being enforced, no supervision and no staff actually managing the area. There are far too few toilets, hundreds of fires scattered across the meadow, wood being cut/chopped, and toilet paper and wet wipes everywhere in the surrounding forest. Glăvoi should be properly managed: enough clean toilets, controlled fire pits, clear rules, no loud music, quiet hours, and staff who actually enforce the rules. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will return.
