It's the Friday just prior to the 2023 Memorial Day Weekend. We're en route to Alaska for a summer adventure. Given the difficulty in securing a holiday weekend RV spot, we're thrilled to find one at Alexandra Shooting Park. With more than 50 sites, many of which offer 50 Amp and water, it's a great find. There's also a dump station for convenience. Wondering about the cost? They were celebrating their grand opening that night, so camping was complimentary. While there is skeet shooting, the noise is barely noticeable since we parked a good distance away. The lots are grassy with a firm surface, so we didn't need to level our RV. There's a train track nearby, but it won't bother my sleep as I remove my hearing aids. I certainly plan to revisit.

I needed an easy, no frills place to sleep during a cross country trip. The Alexandra shooting Park fit the bill. It was reasonably priced ($25 which included 20amp electrical) and conveniently located close to the interstate (I-94). There was no office to check in at, I just proceeded right to my site and plugged in. As it’s name implies, it’s a shooting park. So it’s located on flat, featureless ground in a bit of a sparse, industrial/agricultural area. I was just there to sleep for the night so I didn’t need anything else. The only thing I didn’t enjoy were the many trains that rolled right by the park, blowing their horn. The bathrooms on site were locked, I’m not sure if that was related to the Covid crisis, however I travel self-contained, so I didn’t need access. Overall I would say it’s a decent spot to stop and sleep but it is a bit noisy. I would stay there again for future travels but I’m pretty easy going. Light sleeper look elsewhere.
